I Am Ready For College Football!

Hindsight is 20/20.

If Oregon doesn't lose to Stanford they were in.
If Colorado doesn't lose to Fresno St and Texas they're in.

You have nothing but homerism to suggest either of those could have beaten Miami.
ive never claimed Oregon would have beat Miami just that they should have had a shot at them. and that it would have been a better game than the 37-14 one we got

And as I said your point is hindsight.

Hindsight is 20/20.

For all we know Miami would have blown Oregon out 52-7.

But we don't have that hindsight do we?

Again... Don't lose to Stanford and we see Miami/Oregon. With an undefeated Oregon, the computers would have agreed with the AP and Coaches Polls.

Tennessee and Florida probably deserved it more than Nebraska or Oregon IMO(were better team's). But both had two regular season losses. Both Oregon and Nebraska's schedules that year were pretty mediocre. But Nebraska was the correct choice over Oregon. Colorado also would have been the correct choice over Oregon IMO too.

Prior to our current 20/20 hindsight.

until Oregon beat Colorado who beat Nebraska 38-16.

Tennessee choked away a shot at the 2001 natty. Lost to LSU, a team they beat easily in the regular season in the SECCG in what is probably the biggest upset in the history of the SECCG. 2005 UGA over LSU is the only one I can think of that comes close, but LSU wasn’t going to the NCG in 2005 regardless

Yes, we've already pointed out hindsight being 20/20

However, if Oregon should have played Miami, then Stanford should have played Miami since they beat Oregon (in Eugene).
It's the same rationale.
