In the week that is Thanksgiving week, I am thankful the shelters are open this week as many things are closed for the holiday. The animal shelter that is. So that I can visit and find the husky that is crammed in that cage and while holding a tennis ball in one hand and with the other hand reaching out to the cage door to open it, only to stop moments before my hand touches the cold metal handle and walk away.

And have you not had a good Applebee's meal? You poor nut

The only "good" Applebee's meal is cheap appetizers during happy hour after you've already gotten good and drunk off of the cheap happy hour drinks.

Also the Applebee's here closed because a cook cut part of their finger off and left it in some ladies salad. Very sanitary!

If this were at Husky Stadium I might give Washington a slight shot. In Autzen, I think it will be over pretty quickly

Seattle is a gray, wet, cold, miserable place, no wonder it created a Dahmer type

I mean at least try something new. This is the exact same material every single year.

Come on now -- Dahmer went to Ohio State. He is obviously a Buckeye fan. (True story -- Dahmer is a Buckeye)
Huskies and dog shelters plus Ted Bundy was a husky are 98% of the material they have every year.

The #6 OREGON DUCKS host the #25 washington fuskies today at AUTZEN STADIUM in EUGENE, OREGON at 7pm EST on FOX. This is a game full of college football playoff implications! For the Ducks anyways. Fusky fans will tell you this is some sort of rivalry and some sort of great matchup, well folks, let me let you in on a little secret, it's not. Oregon has dominated this "rivalry" for the last 20 years and this afternoon will be no different. The trick here for the Ducks is to not overlook the fuskies at Utah next week. Need to stay focused and take care of business today, which Oregon will have no problem doing.

This is going to be marked as a great win for Oregon because of the fuskies 25th ranking, it will be considered a top 25 win for Oregon's resume as they continue to push on toward the College Football Playoffs. Bo Nix will have another fun day on the football field continuing to impress Heisman voters. This game has Oregon dominating the pups in every category. Enjoy the pre-game hype because that is the only excitement this game will deliver.

Typical game prediction. Of course it didn't work out so well.
Not this year, doing a quick online search of my local animal shelter I didn't see they had any huskies for adoption.
This was the obligatory shelter reference for that game.
Ok, it's time to sit down and have a serious conversation here. The #8 Oregon Ducks travel to Seattle on Saturday to take on the #7 Washington Huskies at 3:30 PM EST on ABC. The game is so big, it's the first time Oregon and Washington have faced each other both ranked in the top 10. College Football Game Day is going to be Live from the campus of UW to promote this game as it is the biggest game of the weekend and arguably one of the biggest games of the college football season. Without a doubt the winner of this game has the inside track to the College Football Playoff and a much clearer path to the Pac-12 Championship.

As I am typing this I am realizing I can't even type into words and describe how big of a game this is. This is the game of games within the PAC-12 Conference and like I said, arguably the game of games of the college football season. I say arguably because I know there will be pretty big and meaningful games during the conference championship week. But as far as October goes, this takes the title of the best game.

With all that said and I can't stress enough that I can't type into words how important and how big this game is, with all that! I must confess....This game does not worry me. I am as confident in Oregon winning this game as I was when Oregon played Portland State. Honestly the real confession here is I was a bit more nervous heading to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders then I am going to Husky stadium and taking on the top 10 ranked Washington Huskies.

This is Bo Nix's game. This is Bucky Irving's workload. The defense is going to make Penix look mid. We are just over 24 hours away from kickoff and I don't even have butterflies in my stomach for this one. Simply put, Oregon has been in games like this for the last 25 years and has shown up and met the challenge. While Washington has been in similar games, not nearly as much, but when they are in these games they flop and they flop bad.

I guess it's a warning to those who are getting into this game and hyped for this game. I'm sure that hype will grow by late tomorrow morning after Game Day has their few hours next to that piss filled lake and everyone is going to be excited for this game. Well I am here to tell you, settle down your expectations. This is going to be Oregon overpowering and dominating the wannabe's from the North. This one doesn't worry me one bit. I've seen Oregon play this year and I've seen washington play this year. It's clear to see Oregon has what it takes to run away with this game and keep the game in their control the entire time.

Skooo Ducks but I may be a bit more worried about the wazzu game next week.
I think he had a mini stroke typing that, but we've seen this crap before. Again, didn't work out so well.
I love when things like this are in writing so I can revisit after the game.
Irony
Look man, to be honest all off-season I really looked forward to this game. I thought it was going to be the heavyweights everyone currently see's on paper also fighting it out on the field. Almost like #1 vs #2, I thought UW was going to be the real deal. But as this season has progressed and we are here, UW just isn't on the same level as Oregon. Just not happening for you guys this year, which is alright for the huskies as I still think UW gets 9-10 wins, but they aren't on the level as Oregon.

Shame, because back in March I was circling this game as a BIG ONE, but that excitement and nervousness has been completely deflated by the product on the field from both teams. Oregon is a playoff contending team, capable of hanging and beating anyone in the country. UW is a PAC-12 conference championship game level team, where they may get in there, they may not.
Yeah, another miss.
We all know it. We've all read it on this board. The anticipation for this game is through the damn roof. It's finally here! Are you excited?? I am excited for the hype to grow all morning and Oregon to capitalize off that hype with the win!

I sort of talked about this game in the other thread so there isn't much else to put in here. This is the game thread and let's just get to kickoff.

Hey Fuskies, rents due.

SKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUCKS

OREGON - 56

uw - 24
Nope.
My only regrets this week was I didn't get a chance to get to the animal shelter to play with a husky only to leave it behind
And the obligatory shelter reference.

Ted Bundy was also considered witty by his peers
Also one of the many Bundy references because that's all he knows.
H.O.L.Y. CRAP WE ARE HERE!!!!!! The game of games! A win and your in! The final PAC-12 title game features two historic rivals facing off with the winner of the game getting into the College Football Playoffs. Incredible! The Oregon Ducks take on the Washington Fuskies in Las Vegas TONIGHT and this is more than a revenge game for Oregon. Hell, I won't even call it a revenge game because washington doesn't deserve that mentality from us. This is a business trip. This is a quarter finals game for the CFP with the winner going to the semi finals. Get ready. GET READY! Oregon is going to conquer Las Vegas and the final PAC-12 championship game and go to the last 4-team College Football Playoffs just as they were in the first ever 4-team College Football Playoffs.

This is the biggest game of the year for Oregon and Bo and Co. are going to show up, take care of business, and head to the playoffs. This is the night Bo solidifies his heisman campaign and what a run it was! Oh the memories! This is the night the Ducks hoist the final PAC-12 Championship trophy. After tonight, tomorrow is just sit back and enjoy the games and see what seed Oregon gets. Bring. It. On.

I said it after the loss in Seattle, Oregon may have lost the battle, but they'll win the war. The Ducks have surged since the loss while the fuskies have barely won games, with opponents the Ducks absolutely destroyed.

OREGON - 45

washington - 24

Bring on the playOffs!
Right, another fail post.
To the rest of Duck nation not named OD, see you next year at rivalry week. Hell of a season and hell of a two game series.
Baby Hat GIF
That was my response after the CCG win. No chance OD could ever win with grace.
