I Can Admit When I Am Wrong!

But I doubt any of those guys could throw it farther than Jamarcus Russell. Mahomes is right there too. Both threw it 65-70 from their knees.

I remember a friend of mine was convinced this was real....

I've seen Jarvis Landry throw it 60 yards lol

Baker can probably throw it farther than that also, along with the guys you named.
Jamarcus Russell threw the ball 70 yards from his knees. And wanting the Raiders to select Calvin Johnson over Jamarcus Russell is probably the only time I’ve ever agreed with a Kiffin.

I feel like at the rate this argument is going, Chuck Bednarik should be considered the GOAT.
Only one player has ever won a Heisman, National Championship, Super Bowl, Super Boel MVP and NFL MVP. The real GOAT Marcus Allen. Now I’m going to get back to work before Nos hits me with a shovel lolz

Something I always enjoy watching is my son Erik who plays in college and a kid that he went to HS with would go up to the football field and long toss. I would sit in the stands and watch and by the end, they would both be throwing from one end zone to the other on a line. One throws 94 the other 98. Most scouts think velo and long toss numbers directly correlate. I remember Elway being a big-time baseball prospect, mid 90s I believe.
Doug Williams who QB'd the Redskins to the Super Bowl, allegedly threw the ball 100 yards while at a practice at Gambling, though there is no video to back that up

I heard Bert Jones did the same

I was always impressed with Randall Cunningham, no idea if he could throw it 90 or not but his throwing motion was crazy, it looked like he was throwing a 10 yard pass and the ball goes 60.

Extremely under rated QB imo. Didn’t have the best WR’s with the Eagles and they loved running him. Amazing arm very talented QB who knows what he could have done if he wasn’t locked in that eagles offense so many years. I remember watching him dodge Bruce Smith in the end zone and complete a 90+ yard TD pass to Fred Barnett.

Jeff George too! Some guys just make it look easy

I did a statistical analysis a while back and Brady was 4th. Granted this was nearly 5 years ago and I've lost the files (really pissed at myself). I've been kicking around tweeking it a little bit (adjusting for strength of opponent, weighing playoffs vs. regular season and other factors), but haven't come up with anything I like (or found the time). At the time it looked like this (as far as I can remember:

1. Montana
2. Young
3. Staubach
4. Brady
8. Manning

I will admit that Brady has been great for a long time and has accomplished something no other QB has, or probably will accomplish.

OK...so if this is a pro rated statistical analysis(assuming, since Staubach is in there, and I'm a huge fan), then you get a automatic bogie. If you pro rate stats to account for the changes in the game,m there's no way that anyone, statistically, could top Marino, let alone 5 guys. The numbers he put up in the era he played in would be like someone throwing for 6500 yards and 60 TD's today...
