I gotta be honest, this is more fun that it used to be

Nebraska is so desperate to get back on top they have average Joe fans lining up ready to take out a second mortgage to buy players.

How much money needs to be raised by the fanbases of the other 13 BIG schools in order to entice Nebraska administration to retain Frost?

Like anything else in life, those who are versatile will survive and flourish and those stuck with their heels firmly in the ground will be passed by and suffer.

Unfortunately I think MI falls into the category of having their heels dig in deep to old traditions.

There is a lot of old money in Ann Arbor who hate that the university is known best for football instead of academics. There are others who think MI can win without doing all the shady things other schools do. It’s that old school MI arrogance. It’s also why I think Harbs finally leaves to return to the NFL. He knows he can’t compete w the SEC at MI.

It's only shady when the other guys do it.

How many SEC teams do you think could have beaten Michigan like Georgia did?

This year or regularly? I don’t think he stands a chance against any of them in a playoff situation.

I guess I read this statement wrong... "He knows he can’t compete w the SEC at MI."

I read it to mean he couldn't beat Vandy in the regular season.

Regarding winning NC's, it took Tom Osborne 22 years to win his first one. In the interim he lost some NC games by some pretty wide margins. Particularly to FSU and Miami who had more overall team speed.
As I said before T.O. was the original "Can't win the big one"..... Until he won 3 in 4 years.
He was constantly tweaking the program on both sides of the ball. It took him 10 years just to play for his first one, which was a loss.

The SEC has won 12 Nattys since 2000.
Take Saban's Bama out of that equation and the SEC has won just 6 in the last 20 years. Less than 1/3rd

2003: LSU/Nick Saban
2006: Florida/Urban Meyer
2007: LSU/Les Miles
2008: Florida/Urban Meyer
2010: Auburn/Gene Chizic
2019: LSU/Ed Orgeron

So 9 of the 12 SEC NC's since 2000 have been won by the 'elite' coaches Saban and Meyer.
