I haven't flown in almost 30 years.
Coincidentally, I haven't died in almost 30 years either.
You’re a lot of help!Good Luck

Trust me. This was done. Got my prescription filled for Valium. And bourbon helps too.So I’ve never really been afraid of flying. Because my father was a successful businessman. He had a private plane when I was a kid. My father was the pilot. You talking about being scared, get in a single engine plane and fly around thunder showers, and lightning storms at 12 years old. Commercial airlines are the safest way to travel. Millions of people fly annually. Still the safest way to travel even safer than driving your car.
Do you drink alcohol? If so, get to the airport a little early, go by the airport bar and have a couple of drinks prior to boarding the plane. Tell your doctor that you’re suffering from some anxiety and maybe get something that will help ease your nerves. But please be careful, don’t drink alcohol and mix with anxiety medicine.
This is a great bunch of guys here. I am a major college football fan. And if something was to happen…. You know about my absence. Didn’t we all wonder what happened to TigerBait? Didn’t intend to offend anyone. Why in the college football thread?
I think the same thing happened to him that happened to @gobucksThis is a great bunch of guys here. I am a major college football fan. And if something was to happen…. You know about my absence. Didn’t we all wonder what happened to TigerBait? Didn’t intend to offend anyone.
You need to stay on the ground. All your get out jail cards are used up.I was in two bad helicopter crashes in the military. I was in two small plane crashes, one in Great Bend, Kansas and the other in an Oklahoma alfalfa field. And I missed a Delta flight in Dallas by 5 minutes that crashed shortly after takeoff and killed about a dozen people. I have friends who flat refuse to fly with me. They say I'm F'ing jinxed. I say I'm blessed to have survived all that.
We will miss you.Headed to Aruba tomorrow from Charlotte. Not my first time. But I hate flying. This message board is great. Y'all know what to do. If you the praying type... Do so. If you some other type, whatever it is... Send good vibes, thoughts, etc. Many thanks.
same. Flying no problem. takeoff actually not a big deal for me but landing im just waiting for the bounce or nose first rollI just get minimally nervous on takeoff and landing. Nervous isn't really the right word but I do a second check on where the emergency exits are and anyone between me and them to see if there are people that will obviously need help. I guess heightened awareness would work better than nervous.
Dramamine...for some strange reason, my kids always got the motion sickness med before every long car trip...Night Night. see you when we get there.Benadryl can help too, if a person doesn't drink. I also know a couple that uses Dramamine as well but not for motion sickness.
We used to make trips to see family in IL back before anything was really available for calming kids. I have to say that a tablespoon of good sipping corn liquor would get mom and dad about 300 miles of peace and quiet.Dramamine...for some strange reason, my kids always got the motion sickness med before every long car trip...Night Night. see you when we get there.
In the old days, allergy meds did the trick. We used to make trips to see family in IL back before anything was really available for calming kids. I have to say that a tablespoon of good sipping corn liquor would get mom and dad about 300 miles of peace and quiet.
We couldn't cook off our own allergy meds with our thumper set up, so we made a remedy. In the old days, allergy meds did the trick.
