I need you guys to pray to whoever you pray to

Thank you to anyone who can help with the prayers, I won't be on much as i will be running to and from the hospital to help out of the family.

But I appreciate anyone who helps out!!

I was talking to him about it yesterday and I couldn't believe, he said he is conscious when it is happening and he was telling me, in his head while it is happening, he said he is trying to do different things to make it stop. For example, he said, last one he had, he said he tried turning to the right to make it stop, as last time he tried turning to his left.

I don't know why, but I thought you were completely out of it during a seizure.

That's different than what I experienced in my seizures. I was completely blacked out for about an hour both times. I also have suffered from epilepsy, which sounds more similar to what your friend may have experienced. Which is still a seizure, just not as bad. Either way, having had both, they are terrifying to go through. Did he bite through his tongue at all?

My best friend needs some luck to go his way. 4 years ago -- he was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer and given very little chance to live until the end of the year. He had a full bone marrow transplant, which completely changed his blood type, countless rounds of extreme level chemotherapy. He beat the odds and made it thru.

About 2 years ago -- he was riding in a side by side and it rolled and he suffered a de-gloving injury ripping the skin from his shoulder all the way down to his finger tips. Doctors said he should have died because of blood loss, but somehow when he was brought in to the hospital, his blood count had went up. He had major skin graph surgery on his entire arm and hand. His hand where the skin was ripped off kept getting infected and it was to the point where they were going to amputate -- instead, he had them do a surgery, where they sewed his hand into his groin for two weeks to allow the fat to grow on top of the hand. He again beat the odds and made it thru, to the point I went golfing with him this summer.

Last week -- he was in his kitchen waiting to take his 10 year old daughter to school, and out of nowhere he had a seizure. Hit his head on the counter and broke his wrist in the fall. His 10 year old daughter had to take his phone and call 911 to get an ambulance. They now found 4 masses in his frontal lobe and they are testing to see if it is from an infection or if it is cancer. The guy needs a break. His family needs a break.

Can you all add him to your prayers. He can use it.

praying for your friend. praying for the doctors to have the knowledge and able to property diagnose and treat him.

Sucks for your bro. I'm going to have ANOTHER drink tonight to celebrate his life and your friendship...friends are hard to come by in this world, hope yours hangs around for much longer. Seems to be a tough as nails mf with all he's been through.

I'm not very edgy anymore.
I got a good grip on me though. :dhd:

Praying man. That’s a real rough stretch.

Prayers to your buddy. My mom has MDS and is too old for bone marrow transplant, so I'm familiar with that struggle.

Did the transplant help with his blood disorder?

sorry for your loss, I don't think people are going to pray hard enough for god to answer your prayers, sadly. focus that energy on their family and help them out the best you can.

Must be a best friend thing. My bestie went in for follow up on a hip replacement. Blood tests revealed he had leukemia. While running tests to determine the best treatment, they discovered that he is suffering from heart failure.

That is what I thought happened, but he said he had lucid thoughts while they were happening. And then when he came out of them -- he would be out of it for a while. Thank goodness no biting of the tongue.

I'm sorry Tom -- I will put him on our prayer list.

Yeah -- he had a rare blood cancer. He is young compared to those who usually get the type he got, he is 40. They gave him 25% chance of survival. But he has made it 4 years without the cancer returning, but good lord, he takes an entire pharmacy of pills each day.

They said if you get to 5 years, you are considered in remission and the odds of it ever returning are extremely low. So he was getting to that point, but now this happened.

Damn, that dude has had a rough go. Sending out good thoughts and prayers from here man, keep us posted.

Well -- his luck hasn't changed. The did a MRI today -- the masses on his brain have grown and they now consider it to be either an aggressive form of cancer or an aggressive infection. They did everything to try and not have to go into his brain to biopsy the masses, but they have no other option.

Rest of his body is clean, they thought he may have had one in his lungs, but it turned out to be something from before. They drilled into his spine to try and get info and it didn't help. So now they have to go in.

Crossing my fingers and saying a prayer the biopsy goes well and nothing permanent is effected by the biopsy.
