Insurance rates are set based on claims. The more money spent paying out claims, the higher the rates will be for everyone who pays into the insurance pool.

Obesity creates a multitude of health problems which results in an elevated quantity and payout of insurance claims. Regardless of insurance plan (even if the fatties don't have insurance), fat people negatively affect everyone's insurance rates.

You know all of this; not sure why you're choosing to die on this sword...

Where do you draw the line on that? Smokers, drinkers, motorcyclists, people who enjoy outdoor sports, athletes….?
