I wanna FUCK the cable company

Convenience is everything.

And how easy is it to navigate? I don't even like the way Netlflix and Prime navigate with my remote. Detested DAZN.

I start with one game, catch up to live TV, go to the next, etc, then start at the beginning again when I'm current on the ones I'm watching.

Squeeze in some F1 or a tennis major if need be, all recorded.

I think I'm going to stay with cable.
I think you have to. You have very specific needs here. Just like going to the doctor, if he is a specialist it is going to cost an arm and leg.

And like Lowell George I'm willin'..

Anyone have Fubo TV? Has a lot of channels but they dropped TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network and other Turner channels in July 2020. Monthly cost is $65 plus more with DVR time. So, after adding Verizon internet about $90, plus $30 in fees and taxes, plus cable box(es) so rivals cable and could be more. This is Phila. area. (It is said that FUBO stands for "Forget U Barack Obama".)

Comcast has some internet deals form $40 - $60 but you have to read the fine print. Like teaser rates. etc. AT&T appears to offer lower internet prices but haven't checked the plans out.

I've been paying $160/mo. for a 2 yr contract plan (FIOS, phone, IN) (no DVR), and plan to renew for $186 (added HBO, $15, plus plan price up $10). Has everything I need including mbc Sports+, NFL and MLB networks. Am still exploring if there's a cheaper way of doing this that isn't cumbersome. So far, doesn't seem like it.

Can you record 6 NFL games and watch then concurrently, losing no content like I can? And then the 4 afternoon games too?

I think you can only satisfyingly watch a few NFL games in one day. Having more games on a recorder seems to get overwelming to the head. In what area of the country are you?

Canukistan's west coast. 10 AM starts. I easily watch 4 in the AM before the later games. Not overwhelming at all. I don't see commercials, I don't do half times and I'll even jump between plays unless the team is in hurry up. That way I don't have to hear talking head BS.

AT&T shot their fucking prices up on Fiber from 49/month to 80/month.

call retention dept

now im transferred to loyalty dept....

Xfinity has the 200mb for 49. im trying to use that as leverage..

18 mins into the call
I dropped comcast in 2019 and it was the best thing i ever did (for cable that is). Problem is, with 4 people in the house we were hitting our data cap regularly. So I needed the unlimited data ($50 add on) and they kept bumping my package costs. At the end, they were trying to charge me something like $260 for cable + unlimited internet at 200mbps. FUUUCK that. And it was a "deal" so I'd have to call and renegotiate in like 6 months. I ended up going for Youtube TV + the same internet with Comcast. That ended up costing me $106 for internet, but $65 for YouTube TV. So my bill has been static $170 since then and it's the best thing ever. The only thing I really don't like is that YouTube lost fox regional networks last year, so we don't get fox sports detroit for Tigers and Red Wings games. But I suck that up for not having to ever deal with comcast again unless something goes wrong with my internet. And the first chance I get to switch providers, I'm gone.

Fuck Comcast right now. Been on the phone with them several times the last few days about interruption to my service, which I pay a ton for.

They're the actual worst. When I tried cutting my cable the lady tried to tell me I couldn't use my own cable modem (that I've been using for like 5 years) because it doesn't work without the cable service. Like fuck you comcast. They do that kind of shit to people who dont' know better and they get away with it.

After about 25 years with Cox cable, phone, and internet bundle, sports package....I was spending well over $260 a month. The service sucked though. Their internet speeds never lived up to what they claimed. never!

My brother switched to AT&T and told me how much faster it was. I didn't believe him because Cox claimed they were the fastest available in my area. Wrong! Not even close actually.

So we tested them....raced them actually...he was able to download shit in half the time I was. So then we went to a site to test internet speeds...

Cox was half the speed on downloading and uploading. Try it yourself and see what speed you are paying for through the cable company....I bet you won't see results like the cable company claims to provide you...it's really not even close! I switched to AT&T and I get more for less now.

I basically mirror those. Some variation as we have a lot of devices in our home.

Love cable.

Fucking the cable company used to be fun. Now it’s still gotta pay then $90/month for internet (they’re still the only option that isn’t complete bullshit in my area). Then $80 after taxes and fees for fubo (or whichever tv streaming service you want to go with), then $7 and $10 there for all the hulus and HBOs and netflixes (which all keep creeping their prices up). Pretty much back where I started, just more subscriptions to manage.
