I want chaos next week

So if Bama was blown out by Georgia, they are out. But Oregon gets blown out by Utah and they will get in? :pound:
So bama’s in no matter what? We don’t have to play the SECcg?

Considering how bama has struggled and we all know you like to point out how teams struggle it is not even remotely out of the question bama loses and they are out Saturday Regardless of the scenario happening.

Washington gave Oregon all they could handle. Cal was beating Oregon 17-10 in the 4th quarter and it took two late TD's to pull off the win and Stanford, well, as we know Stanford beat Oregon.
We must have typed that stuff at the same time.

Beating Oklahoma at home isn’t the same as beating Ohio State on the road, not this year. Not really comparable at all.

You are acting like I’m saying with a win Oregon will catapult passed people who are also winning. I’m not even remotely suggesting this. I’m stating if a bunch of people lose, Oregon will pas them should they win. Because Of where they are position wise and adding a conference title to their resume.
Beating Ohio State with a new QB and without their star RB in week 2 is a great win, but the team Oregon beat was NOTHING like the team Michigan just played.

And AGAIN -- name me a team within a whisper of the CFP that has worse losses than Oregon.

If Bama gets torched in the SEC champs game, I feel the CFP tosses them out. I ain't so sure they drop below Oregon though.

Could Bama be out? Absolutely. If they lose and others win, like Okie State or Michigan. I couldn't care less what Oregon does, when you lose by 31 to Utah and lose to Stanford, there is less than zero chance they get in over a Bama team with the same record.

Oh I totally agree there. Does this include Oregon winning by 7 over Cal? Is that struggling? Winning by 10 over Washington? Is that a struggle?
Are we under some impression teams don’t struggle. Juniors whole OOC was a struggle. Baylor beat their 4-8 G5’er by 9 points. Alabama had 3 close games with .500 teams. Feels like half of Cincy s schedule was a struggle. Is everyone but Oregon allowed to struggle?

I am trying to figure out what happens if Iowa beats Michigan. Will the B1G be out of it?

There isn't a chance they get dropped below Oregon. If Oregon had lost on a last second FG to Utah and a hard fought game to an even remotely solid team -- then yes, I'd put Oregon in over them.

Oregon doesn't just have the worst loss of any team in the conversation for the CFP, they have the two worst losses of any team in the conversation for the CFP.

Neat, it’s still not comparable to playing and beating a Mediocre OU team at home.

No one has as good an OOC win as Oregon nor any win most likely.

You stated above that Bama has struggled. Just pointing out that Oregon has also.

I only pointed that out when it was pointed out to me Oregon struggled. Every team has. If the scenario played out where bama, Michigan, Okie jr, and Cincy all lost Saturday while Oregon won, what is The top 4 (that the committee selects) in your opinion?

Bama should be out but maybe they wouldn’t be. It really is all pointless because the scenario likely won’t happen.

Ok, no one has as good out of conference win as Oregon over the Buckeyes. But the loss to Stanford will be looked at also. I would say the Cincy win over Notre Dame in South Bend was a pretty decent out of conference win also. To go along with the Oregon win over the Buckeyes, they have also played 5 teams with a below 0.500 record this season.

I think it matters who wins and loses and how close the games are.

The other part about it also is where will the committee rank Iowa this upcoming week. Watch out for that. Because a win over Michigan in the B1G championship, will the committee need the Hawkeyes high enough to be put in? That sounds kind of dumb, but leaving the B1G out of it, wow, chaos.

Everyone struggles.

It matters what happens on the field absolutely. It also matters when ya lose.

Are you going to give me a top 4 in the scenario I played out or nah?

No fucking way Iowa gets in. No matter what.

Oh I agree. But I can't imagine a playoff without a B1G team in there. Ohio State with two losses, Michigan with two losses, Iowa if wins has two losses but B1G champs. Of Iowa wins, Notre Dame slides in? Even without a game to play.

Bama needs to beat UGA to get in

Or they need at least 2 of Cincy/Michigan/OKST to lose

Bama isnt getting in witj 2 losses ( one to a 4 loss team ) and no conference title over an unbeaten Cincy, a 1 loss B12 or B10 champ or probably even over a 1 loss ND. Not with barely beating 2 6 win teams amongst other dubious performances

I hope they do though. Because we will have an expanded playoff next year but if we are being honest a 2 loss Bama resume really isnt any better than 2 loss Ohio States

The only reason people are even consudering it as a possibility is because its Bama. If the name in the jersey was Kentucky with the exact same resume and results we wouldnt be saying Kentucky could get in with a loss

I honestly think Georgia wins. I think Cincy wins. I could see Michigan not having total focus and losing to Iowa. I feel that is where chaos will present itself. Not sure what happens in the BIG XII champs game. If Baylor wins, does Notre Dame slide into the playoff?
