If The 2021 Season Had Still Been The Bowl Alliance

Do you have an argument to the viability of the OP?

I have yet to see one.
No one cares. It was 25 years ago. The teams never played, so no matter what anyone says, it is nothing more than opinion.

I didn't think so.

You're dismissed.

LMAO!!

They are reaching back attempting to reclaim (or claim) glory. At Michigan we are looking forward. A game that was never supposed to happen last century is not a concern ... ohio state is. Too easy of an OOC schedule might hurt us, no one to blame but ourselves.

If the 2021 season had still had the Bowl Alliance rules from 1997, would #2 Michigan have had to play #3 Georgia in a bowl game, or would they have gotten to play #10 Utah in the Rose Bowl?

So, you are asking me if rules that were in place from last century would still be in place in 2021? What team would be playing 1997 Michigan Wolverines? Can we do a time heist and get them here? Maybe the 1997 Michigan Wolverines would have beat the 2021 Georgia Bulldogs, but I don't think so. The 2021 Georgia Bulldogs were a really good team.

My question was quite clear.

One more time for the back of the class...

"If the 2021 season had still had the Bowl Alliance rules from 1997, would #2 Michigan have had to play #3 Georgia in a bowl game, or would they have gotten to play #10 Utah in the Rose Bowl?"

Probably, I guess.

Now answer my question:

If the 2021 season had still had the Bowl Alliance rules from 1997, who would Nebraska be playing in a Bowl Game?

Nobody. Derrrrr distraction.

But they wouldn't have been able to backdoor their way into a Natty either.

Yes. You were 3-9 ... no take a closer look.

3 Victories that were blow outs (2 legitimate teams)

8 Losses by one score

1 9 point loss

Not a great year, but a sign of good things to come, and you want to look back to the last century ... personally, I would be looking forward. Oklahoma could be a statement game.

Meh.... I expect a similar season.

I think if a HC can't put the pieces together and get guys lined up right in 4 years, a 5th year isn't going to be the difference.

If Frost isn't a Natty QB from Wood River, NE. he'd been let go after the Iowa game last season.
Possibly even before.... i.e. The moment they were certain to be non-bowl eligible.
