Great chances that the PAC-12 will figure out a return to play and be back on October 31.

If this is the case, and given the B1G starts up the week before, should the SEC just wait until end of October to start their season as well? Big 12 and ACC could take some BYE weeks from now until late October as well.

Some might think, why should these other big conferences who decided to start early and were willing to play while the PAC and B1G canceled, be punished and delay their start as well, but if you think about it, a joint late start could benefit them too. If the B1G and PAC start at the end of October, their conference championship games will be played in time before the CFP committee makes their selection. Giving the PAC and B1G teams less time off between their CCG and the CFP, that could be an advantage for the B1G and PAC teams, less off time, means less rust. Also they would have only been playing since late October, and not late September, giving them an entire month less of playing time compared to the others. Wear and tear.

I wonder if it's a thought for at least the SEC, since they haven't started yet. It could be a benefit to starting later and still able to qualify for the CFP.

Not our problem. Your shit conference made a shit decision, it is not incumbent on the other conferences to accommodate them for their stupidity. Our game dates are set. There is no reason to punish ourselves just because the PAC and B1G are run by a bunch of fools.

If I'm acc/sec/b12 I'm playing now and take byes for covid along the way and have a nice buffer so all games can be played.

Kevin Warren is an idiot, the pussy12 are even bigger fools

Like the PAC was going to have a team in the playoff.

Even Scenario Village is laughing at you.

This.... Why wait? You have more time to fit at least 8 games in (to match The B1G), if not more.

The PAC will establish the same rule the B1G did.
Nobody is going to be playing many games with that 5% rule in place.

It's a pipe dream.

You are putting the cart ahead of the horse here.. there will be unexpected postponements/cancellations.. Why would the SEC wait? Just play your games and we'll see how it shakes out in December.. but if you get football, just take it as a win and enjoy it.. it may disappear again

Biggest barrier was the Ohio State game.

With that gone, Oregon will be favored in all their games.

Tonight! Adopting them for the season for their moxie in finding a way to play ball.
The Pride of Cullowhee...we used to go there for drill team competitions in HS. Great little campus

The Pac-12 will just wait for a Big 10 to make the playoff and try to copy them.

They could win all the games on this reduced schedule and still not deserve to be there.

You don't get to beat up on interconference cupcakes and then act like you've done something.

There are no interconference cupcakes on Oregon's schedule.
