Let’s say there’s more chaos this week that opens the door up for one of the three loss SEC teams to make the playoffs.

Which one of Bama, Ole Miss and South Carolina would you say is the most deserving?

Personally, I’d pick South Carolina. They were screwed by the refs against LSU, and they don’t have losses to bad teams like Kentucky, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. They’d also have some solid wins against A&M, Missouri and Clemson. So even though their two legit losses are against the other two teams in consideration, I’d take them.

I can see the Ole Miss argument since they didn’t have any blowout losses like the other two choices and their win against UGA is the most impressive win of the teams, but Kentucky was a terrible loss and it happened at home

I don’t think Bama has a real case other than marketability and tv ratings

I didn’t include A&M because if they finish with three losses, it means they won the conference and are definitely in

I’d go Ole Miss because I think they’d be a tougher matchup and have better QB play than the others.

Alabama doesn’t even have a QB, they have a dang good RB pretending to be QB.

Most deserving? Carolina. Based on 125 years of futility.

Sellers has improved so much during this season. I'm just hoping he has the weapons next year. He's a good mobile QB who is tough to bring down, and his decision-making has gotten so much better with playing time. Of course he's a Freshman and not as experienced as Dart, but I think he's gonna be a good one for Carolina.

Ultimately, I had to vote for Ole Miss. They clobbered Carolina in W-B. Bama squeaked by the Gamecocks at home.

Both Ole Miss and Bama have bad losses, so the only thing that really separates them is the common opponents thing.

Decent chance Ole Miss is the last one standing with 3 losses after this weekend anyways.

The committee doesn’t take it into account, but I do, as far as I’m concerned, SCar is really a two loss team after that hose job against LSU. If they lose that game straight up, I’d probably lean Ole Miss too

This. and also because fuck Bama.

Gotta go Ole Piss....

Mainly because of Jaxson Dart.

Pointless, it's going to be Alabama without question if they have to take one.
Probably.

Ole Miss screwed themselves badly on Saturday and if South Carolina had a kicker they would be much better shape.

All that being said if SC can beat Clemson the they have the best opportunity to impress the committee. Alabama plays Auburn at home and Ole Miss plays state who is winless in the SEC.

Bama will probably beat Auburn by like 24 and we will get the predictable "Alabama proves they belong in the playoff still with dominance of Auburn" headlines.

Bama can go to the Tidy Bowl.
