Had a nice weekend. Small turnout for our first clinics, but the kids all put in work and got better. I'm rating it a success.

Went to the county fair yesterday, kids got to ride some rides and we saw a few of the shows. Went to my in-laws for dinner. MiL looks better, she's a bit unhappy because she's still very limited in her mobility. But as far as we could tell, she was speaking clearly, wasn't faltering when she was putting together sentences, and was clearly recalling things. Hopefully this increase in brain function leads to a jump in her balance and strength.

Pouring here.

I caved and drove 90 minutes to go shopping at Wegman's lol

Friday night we did a cookout to celebrate ending of 4H fair. Saturday did football sign ups for tackle & flag. Then did a spur of the moment trip to Indy that night. First time we took all the kids to a hotel. Sunday we went to the Children's Museum. Grand & Lil W's 1st trip & older 3s second. I enjoyed it, especially the outdoor sports portion. Though going during the week is much better.

Worked a little this weekend for decent money so that's ok. Still got to play golf.

Had a "friend" over dose the fuck outta me on a liquid edible thing. There is a little liquid bottle, like 5 hour energy, and the cap is the measuring device with a little green line. He says" its only 5 milligrams per cap. I say ok, and take four thinking it was about 20 milligrams. He was filling them over the little line, but I didn't think much of it. Turns out the cap measures 10 milligrams, and he was over filling so instead of 20, I had somewhere in the ball park of 50 to 60. I was stoned for 10 to 12 hours.

Morning all.

Friday afternoon we went to Caruthersville, MO for Kiondra's stepdad's open viewing and then on Saturday had the family viewing, funeral afterward and the celebration of his life at the community center. Got home Saturday night.

He passed away on July 13th and went to be with Kiondra's mom.

morning

bridal shower in CT over the weekend went well. That drive sucks...but mostly when you hit CT. The traffic in that state sucks. I am not a fan.

golfed at Hudson Hills in NY. Nice, challenging course. Greens were super fast and just dried out...I had trouble with that.

He had been going downhill for the last few years.....struggled with his existence since Patricia died.

On the positive side, he does not have to worry about her being gone anymore. They are together.

My dad is about to be 84 later this year, he has been on a slow decline.

Need to make a trip back to Cali.

Twisters was ok, better than I expected. Pretty cheesy but what do you expect

Saturday took my dad out to eat, it was good to catch up

Sunday the mrs and i and friend of ours played bingo

One thing I love about my house is how many stores I can easily get to. Wegman's is one of the "further" stores, and it's only 10 minutes away.

Yeah he is in a better place and he is now "comfortable" so that is a positive as you mentioned

Yeah I miss Wegmans so much. CT doesn't have any. They are building one but even when it's finished (maybe 2026) it will still be 60-90 minutes away

we have one here in MD...but it's at least an hour away.

we will be in that area next Thursday, so I might make sure we make a special trip to pick some things up.

Fairfield...got stuck on the Merritt

Oh god the Merrit! 🤮🤮

Haven't been to Fairfield in an extremely long time so that part I can't really comment on

her mom lives there...her sister lives in Greenwich. If we were just going to her sister's we'd be so much happier.

Need her mom to retire and move to Greenwich so we can cut that part of the drive out.

Yeah it is worth the trip.. I hope they haven't changed their meatloaf recipe because I got it yesterday and it looks different then when I last had it (2 years ago).

That and they have a basically already cooked chicken, which you just put into the oven for 65 minutes and damn is it juicy!

Not to mention there American Style Kobe Roast Beef!
