Yep so true. When my Mom passed away at the end of 2016, one of our family friends said it best, telling me he knew people who lost their parents when they were young, and knew people who lost their parents when they were much older. He said, it doesnt matter how long you have your parents in your life. When their day comes, to their kids, it's "never time". It doesnt matter your age, you're never really "ready" to say goodbye to a parent.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom 8 years ago, my Dad 5 years ago and my Oldest brother 4 years ago next month.
The void is always there....it doesn't get any easier....you just get better at dealing with it.
I can't tell you how many times I wanted to call them on the phone, only to realize that was never going to happen again.
