Appalachian State students have a major incentive to get creative with College GameDay signs. The Mountaineers host Troy this Saturday, and College GameDay will be in attendance after App. State pulled off a shocking upset over A&M. As we all know, signs are a huge part of GameDay, and the school announced the student with the most creative sign Saturday will earn a full scholarship for a year.

Yes, you read that correctly. The student with the best GameDay sign will get a full ride for a year.

That is pretty damn awesome and kudos for the school for doing it. GameDay at Appy State just became must-see TV.

They are geographically very close to Tennessee and would make a great rival for us although I definitely don't want us to play them again. My heart couldn't take it.

If you like to smoke weed, can't do any better than going to App State. Seriously, this is a great move ... rabid fans, great upsets. Beautiful location for a game. I heard an interview with their AD today on the radio and they are really pumped. Awesome move with the scholarship!

One thing I learned when I lived in NC is that all their colleges are growing like crazy. A ton of kids are coming from NY and NJ and filling up East Carolina, Campbell and Appy State plus the UNCW, UNCG, UNCC. You can't throw a stick in that state without hitting a 4 year university.

The big school for NY and NJ kids is Elon. They don't get into an Ivy, or even a public Ivy, they go to Elon because it sounds kind of fancy, no one in NJ or NY what the fuck it is, and their parents can tell them it's kind of like an Ivy. My best friend's daughter went there, and it's a great school, but all her friends were from the NE ... not that there is anything wrong with that.
 
I hate NC overall but…Head Coach from Charleston WV so… in as well.
 
I am not an App State fan.
