I'm pretty sure they will still be paying the income tax. They are taxed based on the location of their employer, not the location of the game. I might be wrong, but the players that live in income tax states still pay the IC when they have games in Florida, Texas and Washington.

Rock made a thread a few months ago about how the Saints may move their games to Baton Rouge, because the New Orleans local govt was thinking about banning fans from attending games

Rock's dumb ass take was that this was a huge FU to the NFL, and not to the city of New Orleans.

You are wrong on the income tax part. I've done the returns.

They will pay state income tax in the state that the game is played and they will also pay payroll municipal taxes in the city that they are playing the game.

FL is packed right now for the same reason as OP.
I took the kids for pizza on Sunday night and there was a family there who looked like they'd never been out to eat before. They were in heaven. I guessed they're from one of those lockdown cities.

The Saints tried this out earlier in the year and teased they would play in Tiger Stadium.

The Mayor of NOLA didn't give the "greenlight" to play in the Dome so they were in talks with LSU to hold their games in the open air of Tiger Stadium.

Apparently they couldn't play in the Superdome because it is enclosed.

I think they bluffed her and she folded....
