In Case You Forgot

Metrics like the fpi and Sagarin are predictive. They aren't resume based. If you were to ask me who I think would win on a neutral field between Ole Miss and a team like IU, I'd take Ole Miss. If you asked me who was more deserving I'd take IU because they have a better resume. If you're looking for strictly results based metrics Colley and SoR are the best out there IMO. And like I said before no singular metric is perfect. The more data points the better.
Depends on which Ole Miss shows up. One Ole Miss would whip any team in CFB. The next Saturday they would lose to Oxford, Mississippi High School.

Your claim is THIS set of teams (that Texas avoided) is MUCH BETTER than THAT set of teams Texas did play.

What happened on the field?
THAT teams beat THIS teams SIX TIMES so far. There may be more coming.

Your claim is bunk from the beginning.

What can’t you see about that?
Huh??! All I'm claiming is that your rationale is an incredibly lame attempt to bolster your team, it's extremely cringey and not necessary

There’s nothing that’s gonna even remotely convince me that Ole Miss or Bama are even too 10 teams this year let alone top 5

Even in a predictive model it’s laughable to have Bama and Ole Miss so high IMO it’s been proven they can lose to anyone and aren’t even close to a gimme to win any game.

They are both aided by the fact they beat UGA, and in Ole Miss' case have been dominant in all their wins, including beating So. Carolina by a bunch. They are the equivalent of a 3/4 seed in the tournament that would be a popular pick to make the FF given their metrics. But since this is a 12 team bracket, and you basically need to have a top 10 resume given the auto bids, neither Bama or Ole Miss will make the bracket.

Yeah, the inconsistency is what's going to make them miss the CFP. At their best, they're right there with OSU IMO. But at their worst, they can't beat UK or LSU, which is pretty bad.

They both have 2 losses to unranked teams. They should be nowhere near the 12 team bracket. At some point losses and who you lose to have to matter. I could care less that they beat UGA.

They are currently ranked 13th and 15th in the AP. ASU is 14th with 2 losses to unranked teams, Iowa State is 17th with 2 losses to unranked teams, Tulane is 18th with 2 losses to unranked teams. South Carolina is 16th, with 3 losses, which lost to both. Saying they should be nowhere near the 12 bracket is pretty ridiculous. With that said, neither will make it. But after the top 12 teams, it's pretty meh.

Where should they be ranked if 13 and 15 is too high in your opinion?

YOUR claim…. YOUR claim… YOUR CLAIM is that one set of teams is so much better than the other that it means Texas’ schedule is weak.

So, let’s look at the ON FIELD results of that claim.

It looks like the WEAK teams beat the STRONG teams not once, not twice, but SIX TIMES so far.

That means your initial claim is bunk.

What are you finding hard to understand?
My goodness, you've lost your mind. So now you are saying teams like Arkansas are great teams because the won one game?It means that the SEC has some bottom and mid-tier teams that are capable of pulling upsets, and we have some top teams that are inconsistent and capable of being upset. That's all it says. Look, you don't seem to understand this and I have tried to explain it to you, but you are being irrational. Think what you want about your soft schedule, it's clear I won't be changing your mind about that tough schedule you played.

Both are teams that on one day might whip your ass and then the next day look like total shit. Hell, Bama switched their MO mid game against us. I've never seen a team as dominant in one half, and then not be able to adjust in the second half than in our game.

They would be that team that if they got in and you drew them you would say, "I think I am happy with this draw, but I am not sure." My son went to Bama and the running joke is, "who is going to show up, Good Milroe or Bad Milroe?" If you draw them you better hope Bad Milroe and Bad OC are showing up.

BTW, I am not saying they should be in the CFP. It would take every team losing next weekend for that to even be an option. They do have to field 12 teams. And Bama has a horseshoe so far up their ass that could exactly happen.

I’d put South Carolina Zona State and Iowa State all ahead of them at this point. But we all know name on the jersey counts the most. Bama is clearly a very mediocre team for the most part. They just got beat by 3 TDs by a team that hadn’t beat a FBS team since September.

Oh I fully expect Bama to back in limping to that #12 seed what you said is 100% correct Bama tends to always luck into shit due to other teams fucking up.

I don’t think Bama is scary anymore though without Saban…….

The worst part of this 1st playoff regardless is going to be Boise limping through a MWC schedule into the #4 seed and a BYE

Maybe ASU over Ole Miss. ISU hasn't beaten anyone and has 2 bad losses. And South Carolina has lost to both and Ole Miss blew them out. Can't get there with that one.

Also, it has nothing to do with the jersey. Bama has a better resume than ASU and ISU at this point. Albeit slightly IMO.

I’m just going off what I see and I just saw Bama lose by 3 TDs to a bad 5 loss team in late November. That should send them to the back of the pecking order. Bama also has a extra L than those 2 but yea I know losses don’t matter. Only who you beat. Lol.

Okay, and a couple weeks ago ISU looked terrible against Kansas and gave up 45 to them. Losses and wins matter. If ISU and ASU had quality losses it would be different. But their losses are just as bad, and they don't have quality wins (specifically ISU) ASU has a solid win on BYU.

It seems, except for us, they have lost their air of invincibility.

They have to field 12 teams I get that. But like I said there’s nothing that’s going to convince me that Bama is a legit upper level team this year.

Yeah, and they aren't going to make it. You're arguing over something that likely won't happen and if Bama does make it, it means teams like IU, Tennessee and SMU just took an equally shitty loss this week.

Can you read? I didn’t say great. I’m saying your claim that one set of teams is clearly superior to the other is bunk. I’ve written that twenty times. You. Are. Dumb.
