Im not sure how anyone could watch Oklahoma this year and say "oh yea they definitely beat that team" when it comes to just other P4 teams.

Same with Texas and UGA they are much better than Oklahoma but they almost lost to Arkansas and Kentucky. There's not a single team this year you could honestly claim would dominate or for sure beat any other team.

Ohio State damn near lost to Nebraska and Oregon with Wisconsin, there's just no clear elite teams this season.

Yeah I agree there definitely is more parity this season. I know OSU lost to Oregon, but I'd probably have them pegged as the favorites. Followed by Oregon and UGA. If anyone outside of those 3 won the title I'd be pretty surprised. But who knows maybe we'll get a #10 or #11 seed make a run.

I don't have much confidence in UGA this year because of how bad Beck has been, unless he suddenly pulls his head out of his ass they don't really scare me. I'd much rather play them than Oregon for a 3rd time if it came down to it.

Howard is not a world beater but I think he's one of the more reliable QBs that will be in this playoff, even with his 1 WTF play per game.

You’ve got SEC brain rot trying to talk up Oklahoma. A team who had not beat a FBS team since September before Bama.
I'm not talking them up. I simply stated, what separates them from middle of the road teams in the B1G.

Oklahoma is a lot like Michigan this year. No Quarterback, though Jackson Arnold using his legs like he did against Bama is a game changer for OU. Neither teams has WR's -- OU because of injuries losing their top 4 WR's and UM simply has no WR's even though they are all healthy. Both have NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball Neither team can hang onto the ball. OU has 20 turnovers lost, Michigan has 19 turnovers lost.

Oklahoma would struggle with The Iowa/Minnesota/Rutgers type teams.

I'm usually the guy backing the B1G conference. This year though, our conference is terrible. especially the offenses in the B1G.

I don't think there is a dominant team in CFB this year. I do think the SEC is, by far, the best conference though this year top to bottom.

You are giving the SEC teams way too much credit. Nobody is even arguing that the B1G is good.

That was in response to a South Carolina writer. A South Carolina that possesses at least three different chins. Homie is hitting all the Gamecock fan stereotypes

It isn't a big secret that SEC teams have more NFL talent than other conferences. The NFL proves it, every single year in the draft. Even though Michigan had like 15 guys drafted last year -- the SEC still had 19 more players drafted into the NFL than the B1G.

The SEC has had the most players drafted into the NFL for 18 straight years. That is what happens when your conference footprint is in the middle of the richest recruiting grounds.

I think there is a lot of parity this year -- but top to bottom, no conference is even remotely close to the SEC this year IMO.

I don't care how much supposed "talent" they have, this year they are all no better than mediocre. Outside of Texas and UGA.

You can feel that way. I think we will see the difference once the CFP starts.

I saw a bracket today that showed Georgia vs Penn State, Ole Miss vs Indiana and Alabama vs ND as 1st round games. So you think Penn State, Indiana and Notre Dame are going to win?

My thoughts -- Drew Allar is absolute trash against any team with talent on defense. I think Georgia wins by 2+ scores.

Indiana is good against teams with a bad defense. Against the two teams they faced who had any talent defensively and could pressure the QB -- they struggled mightily. Guess who has a better defensive line that Ohio and Michigan? Ole Miss. I think Ole Miss, not only beats Indiana, but routes them.

ND and Bama -- this one is a toss up to me. Depends which team shows up for each. Wouldn't be surprised to see either team win this game.

Nobody is even arguing that Indiana is some great team, you're arguing with yourself on that one. My point is Indiana should rightfully be in over 3 loss teams who have lost to multiple unranked teams. You can do your hypotheticals all you want though.

If Ole Miss can lose to Kentucky and Florida they could very well lose to Indiana. You can maybe make the argument that Florida's poor record is only because of their schedule, though I don't think they are any better than a 8-4 team with any P4 schedule, but Kentucky is just a bad football team.

You talk about Drew Allar but have you seen Carson Beck this year?

Wtf Bracket even in this though? There's no way Bama and Ole Miss are both still getting into the playoffs. Bama has a slight chance at the #12 seed if a couple teams choke but Ole Miss is done.

You are right -- I looked at this article that was done today. It looks like they used last weeks CFP rankings.

No. 1 seed Oregon, No. 2 seed Texas, No. 3 seed Miami, No. 4 seed Boise State

  • No. 5 Ohio State vs. No. 12 Arizona State
  • No. 6 Penn State vs. No. 11 Indiana
  • No. 7 Notre Dame vs. No. 10 SMU
  • No. 8 Georgia vs. No. 9 Tennessee

Here is one of the projections. ASU, Indiana and SMU would be in. That'd be a really boring 1st week of games. They should swap Tennessee or Georgia for Indiana.

#11 is probably where Indiana belongs, they shouldn't be seed manipulating to get matchups they want. Though I suspect they'd monkey around to avoid a UGA/Tennessee rematch and put ND Vs Tennessee and UGA vs SMU.

Boise state playing grab ass through a MWC schedule and getting a BYE is so fucking annoying.

They need to get rid of the conference champion BYE stipulation. I know you would risk years where youd get 3 teams from the same conference getting BYEs but i'd rather have that than teams like Boise swooping in coasting through a G5 schedule.

The B1G and SEC should split off and just have their own playoff. It is the only thing that makes sense right now. You are going to have teams who are much better at home watching the playoffs, while other teams are in, simply because they played a soft schedule.
