Just curious, not trolling but my mind started wondering when I read your post. Who would you rate "top teams" nowadays? I couldn't come up with much of a list "right now."Oklahoma is no longer a “top” team at least at current time.

The B1G and SEC should split off and just have their own playoff. It is the only thing that makes sense right now. You are going to have teams who are much better at home watching the playoffs, while other teams are in, simply because they played a soft schedule.
Oklahoma used up all their QB allocation with Mayfield, Murray and Hurts. And they were transfer portal before the transfer portal. Not one of those three began their career at Oklahoma.Oklahoma has the talent - what they haven't had is the QB, but they changed it up on Bama and used Arnold's legs, so I will be interested to see how they fare going forward, even though they have lost their top 4 WR's.
I can come up with teams that are not "top teams". But I couldn't come up with teams that ARE "top teams". I ask again. Who would you put in the latter?I mean if you have 5 losses you arent a top team, I think that's pretty self explanatory

Then that's our final four in the CFP.Right now? Oregon, Ohio State, Texas and i'll keep UGA in there because they did beat Texas.
Crazy that someone who isn't a 'top team' won the national title last year.I mean if you have 5 losses you arent a top team, I think that's pretty self explanatory
Here is one of the projections. ASU, Indiana and SMU would be in. That'd be a really boring 1st week of games. They should swap Tennessee or Georgia for Indiana.
I think they will skew the rankings so 2 B1G teams and 2 SEC teams aren't facing each other in the first round. The CFP committee only does the rankings. This isn't like the cbb committee that changes matchups around.

That would be MEAN!There is a very good chance Indiana travels to Columbus, happy valley or Eugene
Without a doubt it will come up in discussion. The CFP wants massive ratings. Having a rematch isn't something they want, nor would they want to have two teams play where the game wasn't close either. There is a very good chance Indiana travels to Columbus, happy valley or Eugene
That would be disastrous for numerous reasons. You would kill the viewing interest of the sport overnight. The B1G and SEC should split off and just have their own playoff. 0% chance it comes up. They literally aren't allowed to discuss it.Without a doubt it will come up in discussion. The CFP wants massive ratings. Having a rematch isn't something they want, nor would they want to have two teams play where the game wasn't close either.
Name and brand will always play a part in that as well.Without a doubt it will come up in discussion. The CFP wants massive ratings. Having a rematch isn't something they want, nor would they want to have two teams play where the game wasn't close either.
“Just trust me bro”I think they will skew the rankings so 2 B1G teams and 2 SEC teams aren't facing each other in the first round.
Bingo. I said earlier that the ACC and Big 12 won't whine about allocation of teams getting in until they have up years when they have more than one team THAT SHOULD be in and get passed because "B1G/SEC" as the only reason. I doubt they even say much then because the B1G/SEC will threaten to take their ball and go home.I’m tired of people wanting only Big 10 and SEC schools in a TWELVE team playoffs. That’s ridiculously insane. And it’s dumb to think the ACC and B12 won’t have up years. And you must be a real elitist prick if you can’t be happy with a single G5 school getting a spot. Shame on you!
