These kids with all this talent should sit back and realize that a decision of this type can cost them millions of dollars if they pan out to be an NFL caliber player. This kid just fucked his life up big time.

Hence my comments on he just fucked up his life. Funny how someone can read something and come up with something other than what was meant.

As a side note, a long time ago I was doing some construction work on a server job I took on. I used some contractor labor that were day workers on prison release. I picked up three each morning and took them back each afternoon. One of the guys had a similar situation as this kid, arrested for drugs and the amount was enough for intent to sell. He had a loaded weapon in the car as well. He got state time for the drugs and gun charge and did his time. I went to pick him up one morning and he was all happy because he was getting released that day.
I took him back that afternoon and went to pick him up the following day and was told by one of his buddies that the feds came to get him. Apparently he was not informed that his case also had a federal element to it and he had to do three years for a loaded gun found with drugs that met the intent to sell criteria. He was picked up by the feds that previous afternoon and taken to Atlanta to do his 3 years of fed time for conspiracy, which is the charge they forgot to mention to him that had fed time on it. These two that got arrested better get a good lawyer or they might do some federal time as well.

Probably because he just learned a month ago that you can deliver a weapon to someone who plans to commit murder and the school will not only defend you to the media but also spend money to physically protect you?
 
Honestly, we are going to see more stupid like this going forward because NIL is going to put money in these guys' pockets and there is a percentage of them that are going to do incredibly stupid stuff like bankroll a dope business. There is definitely going to be a pick up in drug use for sure.
