But an 8-4 Florida will be ranked in the top 20, book it.

LSU was a double digit dog. The DC can make any team look good. LSU set school records last week. and if the wrong QB starts, every game is in doubt.

I do agree that an 8-4 Florida team will be ranked. But that’s because they will only achieve 8-4 if AR-15 starts.

I’d give him a pass in that. He hasn’t gotten the reps or game experience he should have and they threw him in the fire being behind and he had to press the issue.

Mullen has not handled the QB situation well when you compare it to how Riley and Harsin handled their situations.

That is a strong indication he is cut out for the job (plus he sticks with a terrible DC).

Harbaugh and Mullen situation are nothing alike. Harbaugh and Scott Frost are the only comparable comparison. Both were former players at each school, both were former captains of the football team, they were viewed as home run hires where the schools were essentially bring home the prodigal son to raise the program from the ashes.

So definitely can't compare Mullen to Harbaugh. Harbaugh has a long rope to hang himself because of his past history with the football program and the university. Mullen doesn't have that at all, as Florida doesn't have an allegiance to him that runs deep like a Harbaugh and Frost have.

Being a former coordinator at a school isn't even remotely close to the situations of Harbaugh and Frost. Florida has zero allegiance to Mullen and can fire him at will. Harbaugh and Frost are famous alumni of the schools they now coach, so they will get a much longer leash.

Dino Babers? I was watching their game vs Clemson and I was thinking why he hadn't been considered for a better job. He's done a pretty good job at turning Syracuse around. Now I just looked and saw his one good year was way back in 2018, wow that seems like just two years ago.

If it were Tim Tebow who came back to coach Florida, then it'd be comparable to Scott Frost and Harbaugh's situation.
