2021 UGA got a rematch after Bama already torched that ass.

2022 only won because they didn’t play Bama.

2 egregious bullshit Titles for UGA.

Don’t disrespect Daddy’s accomplishments
Bama only has a shot this year because refs don’t call dropped 4th down passes incomplete against Bama.

2011, 2017 and 2023, Bama had no business being in the NCG/playoffs

Then there were like 4 BS claims under Bear Bryant

So basically admitting 2021 UGA had no business being the the Playoffs
I’ll forfeit 2021 if you forfeit 2011. At least UGA and Bama both played 15 games in 2021, and UGA didn’t get an extra week off like Bama did in 2011 and 2017

They don’t beat them if Georgia wants to win. But if Georgia has all these guys opt out then it’s a possibility
"if Georgia wants to win", lmfao

stop embarrassing Braves country with takes like this

Bama doesn't make the BCS title game in 2012 for the layup vs ND either if Ohio State isn't on a postseason ban because our dumbass AD didn't want to take it in 2011.

I’m not sure. I think Bama might have still got the nod over OSU.

If FSU wins, fuck it. Claim that championship

Not a chance, we were undefeated and Bama had a loss. The BCS woulda had Ohio State vs ND in the title game if Gene Smith wasn't a fucking idiot.

You can't go off how the polls voted throughout the year that year because they voted with mind that Ohio State could not make the postseason or be champion.

I’ve got no issue with any P5 undefeated team claiming a natty even if the polls disagree. Especially back before the BCS

Maybe, but the perception around that 2012 OSU team was that they weren’t great

The BCS never left a undefeated team out for a 1 loss team, it wasn't happening in 2012.

Hell you could say the same thing about ND too, they weren't spectacular throughout the season at all

I think you’re underestimating Bama bias. An undefeated P5 team was never left out of the playoffs until they needed to make room for a one loss Bama either

Ohio State and Bama are about equal as a brand and revenue draw. Florida State isn't a bottom feeder or anything but they don't come close to Ohio State in those terms. You gotta think about it in that context.

They’d just shoehorned in a one loss Bama team that didn’t even win their division the year before. Bama bias was just as strong back then as it is now

If they were gonna screw someone in a hypothetical that year, they woulda figured out a way to screw ND and have Ohio State vs Bama in the title game.

That’s a possibility, but you can’t convince me they weren’t putting Bama in the game regardless

You gotta remember the BCS in 2012 was heavily on the voter polls (Coaches and Harris) the computers factored in some still (they handicapped the computers severely by this point because of past fuckery) but even if the computers had Bama ahead of Ohio State (the human element was 2/3 of the equation at that point), the human polls definitely woulda had Ohio State ahead and they woulda been in the title game because of that. The Coaches and AP poll both had Florida State ahead of Bama.....it was the committee that decided on Bama. There was no committee in 2012.

I’m just telling you, either ND or OSU was getting screwed that year.

OSU hadn’t shaken the can’t beat an SEC team reputation that had built in the Tressel era, and the SEC had won 6 straight. Strings would have been pulled to include Bama.

It probably would have been ND getting the shaft since in this scenario OSU plays in and likely wins a CCG

It woulda definitely been ND here if anyone was gonna get screwed. You know they would do all they could to get that Bama/Ohio State title game. Saban vs Urban.

ND already well had a reputation for not performing in big games by this point, more so than Ohio State.
