I've watched them 4 times this year -- take away the Bama game and they've looked absolutely terrible. Hell -- prior to the Bama game they were writing articles about how A&M got fleeced by Jimbo Fisher on the extensionThey very well could be a 2018 Purdue/2017 Iowa
here are my picks:As you said, I’m not sure about the matchups but here’s how I would pick these games:
SEC:
Georgia over Ohio State
Alabama over Michigan State
Ole Miss over Minnesota
Florida over Purdue
Tennessee over Maryland
LSU over Wisconsin
Arkansas over Illinois
South Carolina over Northwestern
Big Ten:
Michigan over Aggie
Iowa over Kentucky
Penn State over Auburn
Nebraska over Mississippi State
Indiana over Missouri
Rutgers over Vanderbilt
That being said -- i still think the SEC has the best team in Georgia. I think Bama is vulnerable to any team who can play physical against them this year. Bama/OSU would end up like 60-59 if they played each other.I did this really fast to get discussion going. Not even sure I have the teams ranked properly within the conferences.
SEC B1G Winner UGA tOSU UGA Bama MSU Bama TAMU UM TAMU UK Iowa Even Auburn PSU PSU Ole Miss Minny Ole Miss UF Purdue Even UTjr Maryland UTjr LSU Wisky LSU Arky Illinois Arky MSU Nebraska Even USCjr NW Even Mizzou Indiana Even Vandy Rutgers Rutgers 7-2-5
Which is why a 12 team CFP would have been fantastic this year. Not so much separation at the top.It is a bizarre year in CFB. About the only sure fire argument that can be made is that Georgia is the #1 team in the country. After that -- you can have 1,000 different opinions and none of them would be right or wrong about who should follow behind them.
