I mean, the dude has a history of emotional instability and Molina-like temper tantrums. There was that time he had to leave the Reds because his mind was fucked up, and how many times has he blown up at an umpire because the umpire called a strike a strike, but Votto wants special treatment and reputation calls because he's Joey Votto?

But the most damning thing to me is his home run trends.

2018- 12
2019- 15
2020- 11
2021- 25 with a month and a half left to play

Are we supposed to believe he miraculously refound his power stroke at age 37 with a supposedly deadened ball? Are we supposed to believe he went from looking like an old man to falling inches short of tying the all time record for consecutive games with a homer?

He's a long time douchebag and a longtime user of roids.

Douchebag or not, one of the most underrated careers in baseball. Also, 11 homers in last years season wouldn't have been too far off this years pace

Judgy McJudgerson on the prowl again, making unfounded accusations against athletes that for some reason he has a hard on for.

I don't know if they did something or if the ball carries better with fewer in attendance but the park factors for GABP (and I'm assuming that the HR specific factors drive this) for this year are through the roof. He's not the only guy playing there with higher than expected HR numbers this year (and higher HR numbers seem to be a hell of a problem with their entire bullpen as well).

Not really too much of a sign of steroids.

You're doing it wrong.

You're supposed to accuse the entire Reds team of being roiding assholes.

Was he ever suspended for using PEDs?

What happened in 18-19? He played around 145 games in both

Bad years, until proved otherwise.

Off the subject ... The Braves are making their run for the division!!! First Place.

They lose their best player, and their All-Star Game is taken away from them because of false information. I am hopping the the bandwagon!!! There is only one thing to do!!!

2020- 11 .... in a 60 game season. That puts him close to 30 in a 162 game season.

I get what you are saying with '18 and '19 but you can't throw in stats from abnormal as fuck 2020 and compare them to other seasons.

I can and I did. And he’s seeing an uptick in homers in a year where the ball was supposed to be deadened

Yes, we are. We're not supposed to question it at all otherwise sanctimonious, indignant fans of players known for taking 'roids show up and get really angry.

"We haven't seen such a dramatic power increase from an age 35 season to an age 37(soon to be 38) season since Barry Bonds, but nothing to see here"

Not sure about the steroids, but he's definitely the starting 1B on the All-Douche team.
