I haven't done much of a dive yet but these years are at the end of Ted Williams' baseball card and he was one of the most consistent hitters there was (and one that no one would shit on for not being clean)

1959 (Ted's 40 year old season): HR every 27.2 ABs
1960: HR every 10.7 ABs

I think roids should be encouraged if not mandatory. But the dude is a few neck tats away from being Yadier Molina
 
Generally speaking, I like Votto.

I wouldn't defend him against steroid allegations or suspect him any more or less than any other major league player. Except for Yadi - if you broke Yadi's leg, PEDs would spill out.

I don’t think he’s likable. He has pitched some legendary hissy fits about strikes being called strikes.
 
He's walking less, striking out more, and striking out way more thank walking at any point in his career.

It's 100% the juice and in no way can a top tier hitter change his approach and start actively trying to hit more home runs.
