Is this degrading to teachers??

The teachers union destroyed public education.

i know I grew up in one of the poorest school districts in the US, so i won't judge anything based on that..

but right now, my kids are in one of the best in Texas and I'm still getting loads of amazon wishlists from teachers, $150 supply boxes at the beginning of the year, and requests throughout the year for more glue/markers and shit.

When I was a kid and we got caught misbehaving, part of our after school detention time was to go outside and bang out chalkboard erasers.

There would be a box of them from other classes that had no one in detention.

That punishment would likely be considered 'cruel' by today's standards.

Do your best to educate your children as best you can...because they aren't gonna get a fair shake in our education system.
