That is correct. Don't schedule classes till you've had your cheeseburger and fries. Makes the 2 or 3 classes zoom right along as you snooze through them. Then you flunk out. Big rookie mistake on his part. I guess that's what college is for, go to learn, but he learned the hard way.
 
In the Bold Prediction thread I predicted Georgia Southern 28 Nebraska 27.

I based that on Nebraska lines struggling with Northwestern (Week 0) and FCS North Dakota last week.

Nebraska struggled up front with Fordham and Buffalo last season. It's why they go (3-9) and end up in the bottom of the Big 10 west year after year.
They eventually wear down those FCS and G5 lines with simple substitution depth and home field advantage, but P5 lines are too much to overcome in strength & conditioning. Hence the late game close losses.
i.e. Georgia Southern and Nebraska trenches should be fairly similar.

I doubt Nebraska could win the Sun Belt conference as there are some decent G5 teams in there. Georgia Southern is one of their lower tier teams, but they beat Morgan St 59-7 last week. They'd likely beat North Dakota by a similar 21 pts like Nebraska did.

To add to that, I was talking to a buddy about it last night and his thoughts are that Nebraska will be looking ahead to Oklahoma the following week, so their heads won't be in the game either.

Add those two together and I think taking Georgia Southern at +23.5 is a pretty low risk bet. Might even be worth a money-line bet.

Y'all will be fine. You got P5 trenches.

The reason Frost went with that dumbass onside kick against Northwestern (even though they were up by 11 with 9 minutes to go in the 3rd Q), is because he could see Northwestern's trenches gradually taking over with lots of game left.

Although stupid, he had to take the risk in getting the ball and hopes of getting another score, padding that lead, or at the minimum burning some clock.

I’d say Cincinnati because they’re wedged between Wisconsin and Navy which always takes special preparation for, but Cincinnati should be decent this year so not really a “trap” game.

Why not take the money? Rutgers was willing to get their ass kicked to take B1G money. We’re all whores of some kind anyway aren’t we? No way USC/UCLA go to the B1G if the financial gain wasn’t so different.

It was nice of y'all to decorate them for us...normally our lesser opponents just get the generic cupcakes from Winn-Dixie or Piggly Wiggly, but these are like fancy designer blue blood cupcakes, y'all must have gone down to Polkadots or Sugar Mama's for these. We appreciate the extra effort, it's like the pig stuffed it's own apple in it's mouth before jumping on the platter. Washing these down with Tejas tear tea may become one of my new favorite things.

I can't wait for the West Mississippi teams to join the SEC so we can do this on the regular.
 
I think Pitt may be pretty good, defending ACC champ at their place at night…full grown cake imo, should be a tough one.
