Without Smart and his staff, they wouldn’t have recruited so well. Without the recruits, Georgia is just another Tennessee. Smart is the reason you won and you are just a shitty, fair weather, bandwagon fan.

Won in spite of him. He tried his best to throw the game, the players wouldn’t allow it. He can recruit and he can assemble a staff, but he can’t do X’s and O’s and makes head scratching decisions at QB.

He’s a doofus in every sense of the word. Cost is a natty in 2017 for sure and possibly 2019 by running Fields off

I agree with you on the coaching part but his main thing was to recruit and set up a system that ensured him to be able to recruit lights out as soon as he arrived. It worked out, and I'm glad that it did since this Bama team was one of the weaker Saban teams in the past few seasons. (Think the 2019 team was better than the 2021 team).

Mack Brown did the same thing, he just out recruited everyone and hit the lotto on VY. Kirby actually had some of that in Fields and pissed it away with Fromm lol, so i get the frustration.

He did it with Fields. Probably will again with Vandagriff, the probably Stockton and if Manning comes, him too.

No problem getting elite QBs to come, he just doesn’t like playing them for some reason

I think there is a difference between being pessimistic and saying that the coach that is bringing in top 3 recruiting classes year in and year out is the the worst coach in college football because he had trouble beating the greatest coach that college sports has ever seen.
