It has begun, cancellation of 2 Bowl games

I guess I'll be watching A Christmas Story a little earlier this year. Usually I watch it after the Hawaii Bowl.

I'll never survive without 2 bowls I never watch

Dang! The Aloha Bowl has been a Christmas tradition. That sucks!!

Red Box Bowl (Pac vs. B1G) was also previously cancelled to lead the charge.

Maybe, those 2 are pretty obvious with the travel restrictions.

I hope we don’t see any more. But most bowl games need butts in seats

True, but a lot can change in the next few months....

The state of Florida will play their bowl games if possible.

California might depends on election.

Texas will play theirs.

The rest will most likely depend on politics.

With these bowls gone, it's gonna make it more difficult for Nebraska it get a bowl game.

LSU also

They will likely only play half of the bowl games this year. The first issue will be teams getting eligible with the new schedules and the second is Corona travel. I am fine with that as we have too many bowl games.

Disagree on bowl games but agree on how many we will have this year. There is no such thing as too much football.

The thing about bowl games are they are a giant party for their corporate sponsors. They do it for the advertising opportunity, but it's also a great way to show key customers and vendors a good time. That isn't going to happen this year so I don't see a lot of major sponsors putting up the dough for something that won't be a solid return on their investment.

I don't care about the Kent State vs. Louisiana Monroe bowl games lol.

Didn't they toss out "bowl eligibility" for this season?

On paper I don't, but football is football. Especially when two weeks later you have one more great game and then nothing for 8 months
