It is Mid-October and there are over 10 teams still in serious contention for the Title

You reckon two of the top programs in the country being in the conference hurt the records of other teams?

Instead of crying about it, beat em and do something about it. Let the SEC got 5 years without a natty and the hype stops

Oh JFC here we go with the "They only fail cause SEC!" crap

Texas A&M plays Bama once a year, they've played UGA exactly one time since joining the SEC.

They aren't losing 4-5 games most of the time because they are playing them both every year. That's simply not true. They just are a average program that gets falsely hyped every year.

I don’t consider A&M to be a real SEC team.

Texas A&M is the best example of SEC bias.

Texas A&M - A historically average middle of the pack Big 12 team jumps to the SEC and shockingly continues to be a average middle of the pack team.

But now because SEC we are expected to believe they are actually a upper level team, and that their record only doesn't show that because 'THEY PLAY IN THE GOT DAMN SEC!!!"

A consistent 8 game winner with a couple 10 win seasons mixed in. Pretty good IMO. Good relative to Bama? No. Good relative to most of the country l? Yes

You want the B1G to get hyped, they need to start winning some playoff games. SEC has never missed out on the playoffs and have only lost one semi final game. That’s why they get hyped, and rightfully so. You wanna be king, you gotta take the crown
Top of the SEC isn't over hyped. Some of the rest of the league is.

This is the preseason rankings. It has a grand total of 6 SEC teams. Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M were the only top teams and you have to go down to 19 to see Arkansas. I don't see the bias. Everyone thought Texas A&M would be good because they have had top 5 recruiting classes the last 5 seasons. Usually recruiting classes like that = top ten. Apparently the coach/development at A&M is shit.

Do you not think that teams besides Alabama and Georgia haven't won big games?

Hell, if you want to say Alabama and Georgia is the only thing the SEC has then I will break down the following for you:

1. B1G just has Ohio State
2. Big12 just has Oklahoma or no one
3. ACC just has Clemson
4. Pac12 doesn't have anyone
5. G5 doesn't have anyone

Literally, there are SEC programs not named Alabama and Georgia that would still be near the top of other leagues based on their performance. For example, should Kentucky and Ole Miss not have been ranked the past two years? I am lost how you can say the SEC gets hype but then give Penn State or Michigan a pass but Florida and LSU have no pass. It makes 0 sense.

I ain't giving Penn State or Michigan a pass. They've also been placed up too high because of name recognition as well.

So you think middle of the road SEC teams would dominate every other conference? They'd finish about the same place they do in the SEC.

I would love to see your rankings then. No teams get a pass apparently.

I think the middle of the road SEC teams get ranked about where they belong in the polls. Also depends on middle of the road teams, honestly.

If Florida or LSU, for example, figures it out, yes they could dominate leagues with the talent they have but Arkansas or Miss State, not so sure.

What is said is I kind of like Ohio State and I don't mind UTEP either... I just don't like people crying about SEC media bias.
SIX SEC WEST TEAMS WERE RANKED TOP 15 IN WEEK SEVEN NOT TOO LONG AGO. FUCKING JOKE.

Five lost their bowls btw.

No one thought TAMU would be good except SEC sycophants and the media who prop them up.

Wonder why basically everyone picked TAMU as their most overrated team on the three thread, Einstein?!?

The dunce fought me for two days when i said the b12 had the best middle of any conference and has had that for a long time.
Then he admits one day later in a separate thread to the very same idea.
He’s beyond help.

jfc. how far gone do you have to be to not see how much more bias the sec receives.

Remember when ESPN released a top 11 list just so they could get Florida and an extra sec team on the list? I member.

ACC has about as many ranked teams right now as the SEC lol.

I just don't see it. Another reason I don't see it is because even our VOTING on here matches the National Narrative.

I just see a bunch of butt hurt people. I mean Ohio State is #2 right now with their soft schedule. I do think Clemson should be higher but they are definitely in playoff mix as well.

I can't argue about the UTEP fan because he is a UTEP fan and they don't get media coverage.

Also at @ELTEXAN, Texas gets plenty of media love, perhaps more than any team on the list for what they accomplish. The problem with Texas, ever season, is they go out and beat or look good in defeat against a good team like Alabama or Oklahoma and then they turn around and lose to Texas Tech, Kansas, or Maryland, etc. Texas just cannot get up for and win consistently against the easier opponents on their schedule.

Nope you said the Big12 was the best conference top to bottom and then retracted that in a separate post about the "middle". I would agree with you on the middle but then again it is hard to tell because Big12 didn't play a lot of big-time OOC matchups other than Alabama-Texas.

Granted, OOC games were pretty weak across the board this year. Biggest game from OOC perspective was Georgia-Oregon.

I will also say this about the SEC, the SEC Commissioner and league have been the greatest proponents for expanding the Playoffs. This gives all of the leagues a shot at the title. We are not running from the competition like the ACC, B1G, and Pac12 were. Let that one sink in as well. Heck, I even want the highest ranked G5 Team to get a spot in the playoff as well.

There is a reason we are not running...

Sure teams like Texas A&M can turn into duds during the season but this happens with every league (Michigan State and Wisconsin for the B1G, Miami for the ACC, Oklahoma for Big12, Utah for Pac12 - kind of. Pac12 really hasn't had a dud this year).
