It is Mid-October and there are over 10 teams still in serious contention for the Title

Kentucky with Levis is dangerous. Without Levis they can’t score.
Am I the only one who doesn't get the Levis hype? He pumped his stats up against YSU, Miami (OH) and NIU but has looked real pedestrian in the SEC. Also I feel like I remember him being at PSU and being a running threat but that's definitely not the case now. His NFL hype reminds me so much of Paxton Lynch.

That's a really good comparison with Clemson and FSU. Hell, they struggled to put away Furman. Their defense is not the defense of old, and their offense has yet to play a real defense. If they were playing lights out football it'd be one thing, but I just don't see them as a legit contender.

Yea their defense is pretty pedestrian compared to past years.

Florida State was absolutely gashing them on the ground, they got stupid though and made some boneheaded mistakes that allowed Clemson to build a decent lead in that game.

I don’t get the NFL hype, but Kentucky still needs him for their offense to be successful.

My big thing with Clemson is that they are finding a way to win in tough situations and gutted it out. It could be a sign they are overrated or a sign that they are a resilient team. Many times in CFB, the teams gutting out the wins are the ones that take home the crown and not the teams constantly blowing out people that are unchallenged.

You aren't wrong, a running threat was pretty much all he was at Penn State. I don't see it either. Seems like a guy who's shaky when he actually has to make the big tough throws.

Oh no doubt about that. They're really missing Robinson on that offense. Having Rodriguez back is huge but they need more. I know Levis missed the SCar game but I'm not sure they win even with him. The backup didn't play much worse than what we've seen from Levis in SEC play.

Richardson has thrown 6 TD and 7 INT and completed 56% of his passes this season.

Any GM who is dumb enough to take him in round 1 should be immediately fired on the spot.

great now we are going to get an OD prefight thread breaking down all the stats that dont matter and then a told you so thread if he wins and a nobody was beating ___________ (whoever wins) if he loses.

What position do they have Richardson playing? I know it can't be QB...

Oh no it's QB

This seems based on the JaMarcus Russel "he can throw the ball far" logic.

Richardson would be the perfect type of quarterback to sit for most, if not his entire rookie season before taking the starting gig in 2024. His upside is the moon.

They’re probably back to their normal 8 win selves this year. If they beat Tennessee, I could see em getting 10 wins again depending on bowl matchup. Surprised Stoops is still there TBH. Kentucky and Vandy were basically the same thing prior to Stoops my entire life outside of a couple seasons

Richardson is straight up garbage. I don’t know where the hype came from and why he’s still getting it. He makes Feleipe Franks look like Tim Tebow at Florida

"ARM TALENT!"

Which is nice, he can throw the ball far and hard, but he can't hit water from a boat and his decision making sucks.

NFL GMs are a sucker for that crap. Even though it rarely works out.

The end of the first half of last year’s WLOCP is Richardson in a nutshell.

3-0 UGA lead, under 2 minutes until half time. Richardson fumbles, UGA scores next play. Richardson throws an int, UGA scored the next play, and then he threw a pick 6 with like 15 seconds left in the half. A 3-0 deficit turned into 24-0 solely because of Richardson

Do you not think that teams besides Alabama and Georgia haven't won big games?

Hell, if you want to say Alabama and Georgia is the only thing the SEC has then I will break down the following for you:

1. B1G just has Ohio State
2. Big12 just has Oklahoma or no one
3. ACC just has Clemson
4. Pac12 doesn't have anyone
5. G5 doesn't have anyone

Literally, there are SEC programs not named Alabama and Georgia that would still be near the top of other leagues based on their performance. For example, should Kentucky and Ole Miss not have been ranked the past two years? I am lost how you can say the SEC gets hype but then give Penn State or Michigan a pass but Florida and LSU have no pass. It makes 0 sense.

what do you consider big games and in what time frame?
list 1-5 while not entirely wrong also not entirely true but refer back to my first question.

other teams that would be near the top of other conferences suggests that the other conferences do in fact have teams that would hold them back just the same as Bama and UGA do. on what kind of basis are we talking about.
which teams are we even talking about?

I think you missed the context of that discussion. I was arguing against someone that said only Alabama and Georgia mattered to SEC. I was using that poster's logic by comparing the other leagues to see who they have that matches up to Alabama and Georgia. I don't agree with that mentality though.
