Italian beef Monday

I do think they start helments/pads next year. Very dumb in my opinion. After coaching K-2nd graders the past few years, I think flag is the way to go until at least 5th grade. Let them gain the skills and learn angles, blocking, etc. Tackling is the easiest part to teach.
I think there needs to be a transition of some sort. I think USA Football has rookie tackle that has pads. I think it could work but may need tweaking.

You are the most obtuse person I've ever interacted with. And I talk to asshole lawyers all day.

Congrats.

That's not a very nice thing after being proven wrong. I understand being defensive though. I'll accept your apology later.

Absolutely! Let them learn and have fun. Too many times the "big kid" dominates and he and parents start thinking he is a superstar. Meanwhile a few years later the other kids have a growth spurt and catch up and he's not so great anymore. Or, a kid who is really small and hasn't hit a growth spurt gets discouraged

Going from flag to soft shells to full pads would be great. It would be great if they could coordinate that across states. As someone just entering the competitive youth sports realm, football seems to be the least organized in that regard.

The greatest sports movie of all time taught me:

It's not worth winning if you can't win big

I agree. It varies by community. In my area they have always had a really strong flag league that the Boys/Girls club operated. They had HS players serve as the coaches which was pretty cool
