In my opinion, Texas A&M is in trouble. They had all of the resources to compete and take over the state of Texas. With the Longhorns now trending up and coming to the SEC, they may fall back towards their Big12 days of being a perennial 7-5 type team.

The 10-11 years they were in the SEC have been kind of wasted. They should have done a lot more with all of their advantages. I am surprised that Jimbo Fisher has failed as bad as he has there. Texas A&M seems like that kind of program that would be easy to go in and win at.

Everyone has failed since Slocum.

It has to be a cultural issue because they have more resources than Auburn or LSU but can't do anything with them.

and Tennessee... granted we have struggled heavily too and it was a CULTURAL issue for us. I don't see Tennessee running over SEC programs like in the 1990s (and in some ways we wasted that period by not having more National/SEC titles) but Tennessee should be at least in contention and finishing in top 25 most seasons.
 
Man, I was really hoping we got the first meltdown ever from two teams that played each other.

Pop Warner>Middle School>High School>College>Cowboys/Texans.

I wouldn't kill A&M for not "doing more" when they were up against Bama and LSU every year. Even with lucking out and not facing Georgia for most of their time in the league.
