Yeah, I know it's a bit young still. I think we had Ham training at around a year and a half old. Still had her in pull-ups and night time diapers for a while after to prevent messes, but I think we were basically done by the time she was three. Apparently boys are a bit tougher to break, so we'll see.

my vet's office burned down...

I can respect that. Your dog. Do what is best for him. My vet's kennels are basically Taj Mahal for dogs. She has a large staff of volunteers and the dogs get lots of attention.
