Going with 8. Still have the Jets twice, can probably win at least one against the Bills, then Miami with a rookie QB, which Belichik always kills...can probably beat Houston and maybe the Chargers, or they can surprise somebody else on the schedule who takes them too lightly.

the jets will beat new england at least once.

2 because knowing BB he will try and tank for the #1 pick.

i had been thinking this over....

talib turns bill down
most opt outs in the nfl by far
it appears to me, the team just stopped tackling the last 2 weeks.
they're gonna be 2-5 after this weekend
they'll have 100 mil in cap space in 2021, a ton of picks, and possibly now...a top 15 or higher?

It's a strategy. However, I think BB's reputation amongst players is not great. A lot of former players have made some not so great comments about playing for him. He dumps players at the drop of a hat, as well. Hell, Tom Brady left. :headscratch:

Cap space aside, It might not be easy for him to attract quality free agent talent.

I think we may be seeing the BB era come to an end.

well, especially this year. who wants to have hoyer or cam throwing to them? they reset in 2021.

Still wonder why Belichick would want to go through a season like this. With six superbowl titles and considered the best HC of all time, what is left to accomplish?

hes waiting for 2021. its hard to compare what bill has this year, to the riches brady is throwing to in tampa. this was a botched transition year to 2021.

What is BB waiting for? To see if the team transitions into a new winning era? Does BB continue to coach after 2021 whether he wins or not?

Oh yea. 100 mil in cap space next year and a slew of picks.
I can honestly see Bill trying to trade all of those assets and whatever pick they end up at this year to get Lawrence or somebody else.
It's either that or our options are...Jameis Winston?
Yikes

I think NE should.

Problem is right now there are 7 teams with less wins then the Pats. Literally 7. An the worst still has to play NE twice.
