what's a library wine?

High end wines that have been produced to be suitable to cellaring for a long time. Fifteen to twenty-five years. If you ever go to a restaurant and see $1,000+ bottles of wine, they're usually library wines that have been aged. If you buy them when they're released and store them, they cost a fraction of that. There is a subtlety to an aged wine that I just have not found in young wines.

Of course, I haven't had an aged wine in probably close to fifteen years.
