No fucking shit.
First, your issues:
I saw this morning on SC that the eighteen playoff game losing streak ties the MLB record, which was previously held by the Washington Senators, the franchise that became the Minnesota Twins.
Our issues:
I was saying the other day that the number of Cy Young winning pitchers the Indians have had shit the bed in the post season is remarkable. Pretty sure Sabathia did it, Kluber did it twice and now Bieber. Fucking maddening.
I also saw this morning that the 22 runs that the Yankees scored is the most runs a team has ever scored in its first two playoff games. This off of what was arguably the best pitching staff in the majors this season. Also fucking maddening.
Honestly, I didn't really expect them to win, but if you would have told me prior to the series that they'd score twelve runs and get swept in two, I'd have had a hard time wrapping my mind around that.
I actually went to sleep at 9pm, woke up at midnight, just in time to watch the Indians take a one-run lead in the bottom of the 8th. They bring in Brad Hand, who had not blown a save all season, who subsequently blows the save, and takes the loss. Also fucking maddening.
