itsa me, Tuesday morning

was thinking about it last night....but do I want to get a king sized bed for my master bedroom...
A King for one person?

Now that I think about it, my buddy has one. But he bought it when he was still married.

I like my current queen mattress...would have to buy new sheets, frame, etc....

Yeah, if you like what you current have and it's allowing you to sleep then it is a good reason to keep it. Plus a king isn't that much larger than a queen and it's more expensive and finding sheets is harder

obviously an investment to get all the stuff.

but I also have a 70 lb dog that sleeps in the bed with me...

I have slept with someone else in hotels enough to know that while it doesn't seem like much, a king mattress is a lot bigger with a lot more space

While I'm really looking forward to becoming a grandfather, I got a peek at what can happen if you don't foresee things clearly.

Guy we went golfing with yesterday has 3 grandkids, two are preschoolers. The parents are both teachers and since school started, the kids have been dropped off with them. He had to sneak away yesterday morning, and as soon as we got home he was expected to play with the kids. This after a full day of golf and multiple beers.

Hmmm...

did a purge of my canned goods yesterday before going to the dump...

kind of amazed at how old some of those cans were...pre-dated my move into this house actually...

I've had a king bed since I moved out of my parents' house. Even though I lived alone, it's nice to have extra space for guests.

I tend to just eat my emotions and keep it all to myself until I blow a 50-amp fuse.

Thought of this clip, specifically at about 1:10.

It’s how most of us were raised. It is what it is. I’ve just been working to learn to not do that. It doesn’t help those around me and it sure as fuck doesn’t help me.

That doesn’t mean I’m turning into a whiny bitch. Just learning to not get to that point where the fuse is overloaded. I’m a solid C student so far.

Funny thing is I listen to the guy in the link here’s podcast and he’s been going through the same process. Because….I’m just tired of the “as soon as I lose my shit I’ve lost” bullshit.

On occasion.

Also, a dozen guests one at a time are still plural.
I mean, at most I have a singular "guest"

but no kink shaming in these threads.

Fair.

Nearly 30% larger. It makes a difference.

Sure.

What?

Woops, I was thinking of California King.... My parents have one of those and those are the hard ones to find
