Do you follow football? In 2019, no team in all of CFB, including Georgia and Bama had a higher blue chip ratio than OSU? In 2021, The only team with a higher blue chip ratio was Alabama at 84%, Georgia and Ohio State were at 80%. 4th place was Clemson at...........67%.

That means 80%+ of their scholarship players are blue chip recruits -- 5 star, high 4 star, etc. The LAST think OSU is having problems with is recruiting. They are losing Olave and Wilson -- guess who their backups are? 5 star Fleming, 5 star Egbuka and oh yeah, Marvin Harrison Jr who had 3 tds in his first big game action.

OSU has more 5 star recruits on their roster on a year to year basis than the rest of the B1G rosters COMBINED.

History has nothing to do with Covid. You can twist it any way you'd like -- UM didn't play 6 games in 2020. OSU was simply one of them.

Just like OSU cancelled against Illinois, UM cancelled against a few teams and a few teams cancelled games with Michigan.

I realize you want to grasp at anything to not admit you haven't beat UM in 2+ years, but it is a fact. Would OSU have beaten UM in 2020? Maybe, maybe not. We will never know.

UM is top 10 in recruiting. OSU is top 3 in recruiting. You want to know the difference? OSU has roughly 25% more 4 and 5 star recruits than UM on their roster. That is ENORMOUS. That is roughly 20 extra blue chip recruits on their roster. So if a recruit is a flop -- they have someone just like him waiting in the wings. When someone leaves for the NFL -- they have someone just as talented waiting in the wings.

OSU reloads -- UM has to rebuild.

OSU crushes UM in recruiting right now. Only thing that changes that is winning. But there's still separation between OSU recruiting and teams at the tippy top in the south.

Theyre average signing was higher than Georgia's this season and they are ahead of A&M pretty much every single season, a lot of times by a wide margin.

As long as Ohio State keeps winning and putting players in the NFL, they aren't going to struggle to recruit

The good news is, Ohio State has the highest percentage of blue chip prospects of any team in the nation (which makes complete sense since they signed their two highest-rated recruiting classes of all time in 2017 and 2018). Not only that, it's the highest ratio of at least the past five years, eclipsing Bama's 80 percent back in 2017.

The most hilarious part: this ratio doesn't even include transfer players, so this absurdly high number isn't even accounting for the highest-rated player in program history.

That's one hell of a parting gift from Urban Meyer to Ryan Day.

Michigan isn't close to Ohio State. There is a clear cut top 3 in recruiting (not including A&M, unless they continue to break the bank for recruiting classes) -- It is Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. Then everybody else.
 
difference, from my POV on the outside, is that Day has been linked to jobs in the NFL by reporters. Harbaugh openly said he wanted to talk to NFL teams about potential openings for him.

As far as I know, Day never met with any NFL front offices, publicly, Jim definitely did.

So on the recruiting trail, some players and their families could be a little wary about Day bolting, but he can continue to say, I've never looked into any NFL or other HC gig in CFB. And he would be right.

Jim will have to assure some players/families that he's in it for a few more seasons while they will be on campus. Gonna be a tough sell for the recruitments that play out that way.

OSU signed SEVEN 5 star recruits in 2021. SEVEN. I believe UM has signed 6 five star recruits in the last 10 years. OSU signed more in 2021. They have 13 five star recruits in just the last 3 years, but they are not recruiting like a top 2-3 team anymore?

They have signed 30 top 100 recruits in the last 3 years. So essentially 10% of the top 100 recruits over the last 3 years have signed with OSU. You know how many Michigan has? 7 top 100 recruits over that same 3 years.

And Harbaugh lost to Michigan State the last two years that had 3 top 200 recruits and 0 top 100 in the last 3 years

Yes -- UM beat OSU. Those type of games happen. But if you want to win a national title -- You aren't going to do so with 7 top 100 or 3 top 100 guys in a 3 year span.

CFB is all about recruiting and who can collect the most talent.

He wasn't hired for anything he did at Vandy. He was hired because he worked with John Harbaugh at Baltimore with Mcdonald for a few years and was in the running last year for the position. I think the major idea with all of the moves was to keep things as similar to last year as possible. Hired another Baltimore guy that worked with Mcdonald to keep the defense the same, with the same language. Promoted staff already on staff for the OC position who were already involved in the game plan and play calling last year. For the open spot on offense, taking a off the field analyst (grant newsome) and promoting them to a staff position.
 
That Vandy defense allowed 35 first quarter points to UGA. Vandy received the opening kick.

But it doesn’t matter because Harbaugh is Day’s daddy
