Jim Harbaugh gone to NFL

Would Gattis be safer? His offenses have been less than stellar 35, 63, 14. Just more of a decision because all of the good coaches have already been taken so might as well stick with what we have and hope he isn’t Bobby Williams.
I don’t think he’s any more of a risk than other options. If he’s here another year with Harbaugh some other team is likely taking a shot at him. And he likely retains the staff. Which would be a pretty good advantage.

I'm not sure how much credit I actually give Gattis for this past season.......That offense screamed of Harbaugh "man ball" taking over control.

The "speed in space" myth has been just that still, a myth.
Hasn’t looked like that any other year under Harbaugh. So I kinda believe it. Especially at RB.

You lost the best staff member in your DC though.

Campbell should be the #1 target, perfect fit for Michigan, not even close.

Sounds like he may be gone if they offer him. I think they’re interviewing 3 other people as well

Bo would’ve fired his ass by now.
Yeah. At this point I’m not thrilled about the idea of being someone’s backup plan if they can’t get an NFL offer. The AD should make him choose. NFL or not. If he can’t get a job in the NFL and chooses NFL, oh well. Meanwhile signing day is Wednesday and he’s flying out to interview for another team in Minnesota.

Harbaugh finally beats Ohio State to make fans happy then immediately does something to piss them all off again. Classic

I hope he goes to the NFL and shits his khakis just like he did in Ann Arbor.

Any team that would sign this bozo has a dysfunctional front office.

Going to an interview on signing day.

Wow.
Also gave the whole staff the week off. Only good thing is that our class is basically already signed. I don't think we have anyone lingering at this point. But super bad optics; especially if he doesn't get an NFL job and returns to Michigan.

A few weeks ago I thought this NFL flirting was leverage for a bigger contract, a massive lifetime contract. Would have been perfect. He just went to the playoffs and beat the schools rival. Lock up a lifetime college gig making millions and enjoy life.

Instead he went another way and appears to be trying to light bridges as he crosses them.

Ohio State fans are desperate for Harbaugh to go back to the NFL since he OWNS Ryan Day

I think he sees it as he restored the program and left it in good shape. I can't say he owes us anything, we did just publicly embarrass him last year with that cut contract. Now he has to deal with the NIL incoming and a school admin who's probably not going to support it like other institutions. I just wish we made him choose rather than allowing him to use us as a fall back if he doesn't get a job in the NFL. That's going to kill recruiting next year when the same thing happens again.

Though, now that I think of it, it would be kind of funny for Harbaugh to sign somewhere on national signing day.

Yeah that contract cut might be the nail in the coffin. Though it might be what fired him up to actually go out and coach and win. Who knows, but its fun to watch from the outside.
