JJ Watt and Patrick Peterson join the Cowboys

It seems as if they'll have to move Jones to make the cap #'s work. Definitely a bizarre move by the Cardinals.
Well, that would be dumb as shit then. :noidea:

Which is pretty much what the one Boston sports talk radio show that I listen to said this morning. J.J. is not an every down player and is injury prone. WTF were they thinking?

a team would be nuts to give his old, broken-down ass that much money per year. unless it was all condition-based, which of course, his agent would never let him sign.
turns out, the cardinals ARE nuts!

i think they need to do a health & welfare check of steve keim's office; see if he's got a pipe crack or two, tucked away in his desk.

Well it is the Cardinals. If this were Green Bay it'd be like alright that's a lot of money but that's a franchise that tends to know what it's doing and generally just has good fortune so fine maybe they get something from him.

But an older injury-prone guy getting a lot of money from a cursed franchise like Arizona? That just feels like it's gonna blow up.

It sounds like other teams including the Browns were offering in the $12M range. So not only did he get $3-4M/year he got that 2nd year. Pretty damn good for Watt especially all that guaranteed. Too much for a guy that is injury prone and 32 BUT if they can limit his snaps it could be a huge addition opposite of Chandler. It all comes down to his health though.

I figured he would have went to a contender since his career is coming to a close. Over pay for the Cards.
