Jordan Love Trade Rumors

Love isn't worth much right now in the trade market. Packers still need a backup QB and he has spent two years learning LaFleur's system. No one else available is more qualified to back up Rodgers right now. Makes more sense to keep him at the moment. Maybe trade him in the preseason if he spits fire and raises his value considerably; but he's worth more as a backup to the Packers than an extra 3rd round pick or whatever they'd realistically get for him.

Why do people think Love is trade worthy? (outside of a 7th or something minor)

He hasnt done anything to make anyone think damn wait till this guy gets his chance. Heard nothing good about him in practices. Nothing.
When his contract runs out. He can sign somewhere as a FA. I dont see him drumming up any interest for a starting QB.

Even a 3rd would be too much. I’d rather take a guy from this draft.
Love is only 23 and a first round pick in 2020. He also has learned the position from 4 time MVP Rodgers. There aren't many QBs in the draft that would be better.

I don’t think he’s learned anything from Rodgers. Rodgers doesn’t seem like the mentor type. He looked pretty bad vs KC.

He only had one start last season. You can't judge a QB on just one game.

Yep, but there's always a sucker in waiting.

Gotta keep him there so they have a viable option if Aaron gets his panties in a bunch again.
Thought for sure he'd throw a fit and demand a trade because Russell Wilson being traded overshadowed him.

*Anything better than what you could get in the 5th-7th rounds.

"Hey guise, there aren't any front runner QB's this year so we likely can get one of the top 3 in the 2nd round. Should we do that or give up the 2nd rounder for a guy with only 2 years at $2M each left on his contract but has shown zero skill in games or preseasons?"

Conversations no GM who values their job has had.
