That’s good because D’Wan Mathis never needs to see the field as a QB again. I like Stetson Bennett though

Do you think he plays? Has he been getting reps with the injury?

This will be interesting because if he wasn't cleared and hasn't been getting reps in practice that can be a disaster in itself. If he does play the D is going to tee off on him early trying to rattle him.

I’m interested to see what UGA does now. Bennett played well and I assume they will stick with him for now

He’s been practicing and playing in scrimmages, just wasn’t cleared for contact until today. I’d guess Bennett starts this week’s game with Daniels getting some reps and week 3 will be his first start

If he has been getting consistent reps then he should be alright once the speed of live play comes back.

I think he’ll get significant snaps, but I’d bet on Bennett starting this week

They kind of have to otherwise it will make Bennett start questioning himself and get discouraged. The last thing you want is to sink his confidence and then Daniels goes out there takes a hit and just isn't ready. Plus do you really want a guy's first live-action to be against Auburn in a heated rivalry with no SEC experience at all. We've all seen that go pretty badly.

It's better to give Bennett the first series and then bring Daniels in on the 2nd and then decide from there what to do. If Daniels tanks then it looks to Bennett like it was a planned substitution and it isn't like he was yanked. So much of this is physiological.
