Look how Colorado ended the season

2 score loss to 5-7 Kansas and then blown out in the bowl game by BYU. No "they didn't want to be there" excuse, all of Colorado's top players played and talked shit that they were going to go out and make a statement.
Colorado went 9-4 when most didn't even think they would make a bowl game

I thought they'd win 5 or 6 games.

They got a fortunate Big 12 schedule and teams like Utah and Oklahoma State ended up sucking which helped them out as well.

Say it with me: Deion has done a good job at Colorado

He put CU back on the map, 100%. He took a team no one cared about and got them on national TV in year 1 and grew that in year 2.

Not sure how anyone can dispute that.

Do people care about Colorado or do they care about Deion though? Once he's gone i'd bet good money people go back to not caring about Colorado.

Remind us who beat ND in week 2

Teams change a ton from September
Did ND lose to a 5-7 team at the end of the regular season and then get their skulls caved in right after in their bowl?

They care about the Colorado product that Deion improved. Once he leaves, if they go back to getting 2 and 3 star recruits and losing 9+ games a season then yes everyone will ignore them again.

This is a bit over the top. Colorado is no better than a 6-6 team with Corns schedule though.
UTEP - W
Northern Iowa - W
Illinois - L
Purdue - W
Rutgers - tossup
Indiana - L
Ohio State - L
UCLA - tossup
USC - L
Wisconsin - tossup
Iowa - L

6-6 is best case scenario. That wasn't a good team.

And he will leave soon because the mystique of playing for "coach Prime" will wear off quickly once they realize this season was his ceiling. He's never going to be a long-term coach anywhere, at least at HC.

I agree, and I think his only motivation to go there was they would take his sons and Hunter in exchange for the publicity. Now he will accept some job in the NFL to try once again to get Shiloh a job, ala Bronny James.

I expect a noticeable drop off next season. I think QB Sanders is going to be a mega bust in the NFL but he was a elite Big 12 QB. Going from that to either a true freshman or the dude from Liberty who was exposed as meh this year is going to be a giant drop.

He's bringing in another big transfer class (17 so far) but it's mostly a whole lot of meh no real game changing types. He's once again trying to patch work together a OL

And if somehow Deion does stick around one more season just to prove people wrong, he isn't going to care about the QB as much as when it was his son. So half the shit Sheduer did would get him benched if he weren't playing for daddy. See how Deion treated the OL and everyone who wasn't his kid or needed to ball out to make his kid look good? That's how everyone will be treated and people will tell him to get fucked.

He pretty much has to leave CU now, or get exposed.

Absolutely. He had zero ties to the college, the state, or the conference. It was also a school bad enough that even moderate improvement would be looked at as highly successful. Then it worked perfectly that they moved to the Big 12, which was basically a G5, and he got 9 wins against bottom feeders.

Both Sanders and Hunter are going to get a GM fired. Neither of them is a first round talent IMO. They both thrived against garbage and disappeared when it mattered most. Hunter could be a solid WR with actual coaching, but he's raw and will never play CB in the NFL.

Salter took a huge step back this year so I don't see him being much of a difference maker next year. I'm not sure of what to think of teams like ASU, ISU, BYU, KSU, or WVU regarding their talent next year, but Colorado plays them all along with GT. If he actually wins 9 games again and those teams are at least solid, if not good, I'll give him some credit. Taking a team that was routinely winning 4 or 5 games in a mid-tier conference, winning 4 games in that conference, and then winning 9 games in the weakest P5 to ever exist isn't impressive.

Sanders has no awareness, that's his main problem, guy will get sacked a shit ton of times just by his own stupid doings. He also plays like someone using Michael Vick in Madden back in the day, no one open? just keep running backwards hoping someone gets open......which does not work in real world.

Salter was borderline terrible this year, they aren't getting 2023 form out of him. It's highly likely he gets benched early in the season if he even opens as the starter.

I don't doubt Jerry would want Deion because it would grow the value of the team. But we aren't getting up to #1.

Deion isn't worried about Shedouche either. He's worried about Shilo, since he knows the dude sucks and wouldn't be able to start at any FBS (or probably FCS) school if daddy weren't the boss. His goal is to get Shilo an NFL contract. That's it. He will go to whatever team promises they will draft him.

And he will turn the team into a colossal shit show. The NFL is about more than getting some upper 3 and lower 4 star kids to buy your bullshit so you can then beat up on weak teams. You need actual talent in the NFL.
