Just Curious On Expanded Conferences...

The playoff has completely changed the magnitude of the conference championship day.
And yet they weren't attended well because people had to save money to go to the neutral site games. If I were to go to all the playoff games, I would have to make travel arrangements to NOLA, Miami, and Atlanta. And that is lucky for me. Oregon fans will have to go to LA, Dallas, and Atlanta. That's all in a 21 day period.

We are going to see the first and second rounds at home fields at some point.

I was thinking about the home site games. How many tickets are the visiting teams' fans allotted?

By all rights, it should be 50/50, but I doubt it's going to be that way.

The only game among the four Big 12 teams that tied for first was Az State vs BYU. Iowa State and Colorado didn't play any of the other three. What are the odds?
Ironically, next year Iowa State plays @ Colorado and Arizona State and BYU visit Ames!

I can speak for the Big XII Game because I was there. Both Iowa State and Arizona State brought 15-20,000 fans EACH. Both schools repped at the game very well. The issue in the Big XII game was lack of local support. Texas was playing @ Atlanta, SMU was playing @ Charlotte, and the locals not travelling didn't give a crap about a Big XII CCG without a Texas team and were preparing for the Cowboys game on MNF. For example, the Friday Night local sports on the Dallas station I watched (ABC I think) talked about the Texas game, the SMU game and the Cowboys game and didn't even give the Big XII game a mention.
