JUST GIVE US A CALL

There’s a war going on right now if sources are correct in the big 12 trying to get Utah/Colorado and the Arizona’s. Pac fighting to keep those schools, Big12 trying to poach.

Pac needs to get SDSU (obvious) Boise, unlv and try and steal a Big12 team like Texas Tech or Baylor.
Why is Big 12 not going after Oregon?

They most likely are but even they know Oregon/UDub and Stanford ain’t coming to the B12 unless they have too. Thats why it’s massively important for the B12 to get the Az schools and Utah/Colorado, that would effectively end the Pac and force those 3 hands sooner then they’d like.

hey, ralphie -
how ya been man?

agree on the AZ schools -
they appear to hold the keys
to the potential demise of the PAC -
if they smell the writin on the wall,
it would force the hand of Utah n CO,
and the B12 is in a good spot at 16 -

Relic programs like yourselves.

Time to get with the times. Current success. Current brands.

Wherever Oregon ends up, that’ll be the conference you’re going to want to be apart of
Then why do you keep bringing up wins over B1G teams from over a decade ago? Current success? Oregon isn't even the most current PAC 12 champion.

It is called being selective on your success to frame your argument.

They still brag a lot about their wins over Tennessee even though they faced two of the worst Tennessee teams in history with 1st year coach Derek Dooley and 1st year coach Butch Jones. Neither Tennessee team even made a bowl and both finished 5-7.

Hi buddy I’m good, hope you are doing well. See your new coach is killing it on the recruiting trail.

Yeah with the LA schools gone I’d think the Az schools to the B12 would be a no brainer. But still nothing has been announced. (And yes for people reading this I know it’s only been a week)

But that’s the whole reason I pray the Az schools come, your last sentence. While the B12 wouldn’t be in the preferred spot, killing off the PAC would most likely lead them to a good spot as the 3rd conference.

I am starting to think that Oregon and the 10-team Pac12 is going no where. The Big12 is your only realistic option and I think the Pac12 is fighting to keep members in along with the ACC who doesn't want to be passed up by the new Big12.

I am wondering who the Pac12 can pick up or if any addition can add value?

Two easy picks are UNLV to get Nevada and Las Vegas region and San Diego State to get back into Southern California. Both also fit in the Pac12 South to keep divisions.

However, neither adds that much value and I am not sure about their academics or how Cal/Stanford will view them.
Dividing the pie by 10 is better than dividing it by 12...unless the net two additions add enough diameter to the pie as to not reduce each slice.

Big 12 did it for a while. But, we all know their pie and their slice is going to shrink even when they only divide it by 8. So they've added 4 in order to grow their pie. In this case everyone is 100% sure that -2 and +4 won't net a positive number.

Piss on that. Invite us. We're 400 miles close to the West Coast than Tech.

How’s uncle Phil’s relationship with Amazon?

Amazon is wanting to get into CFB anyway and they are going to have to pony up to get in the big boy pool anyway so maybe the Ducks should go to the Big12 and then get Phil to negotiate some kind of a deal with Amazon and Nike for Oregon’s 3rd tier rights. A Duckhorn network if you will..
Y’all laugh but the Big12 is set up to do such a thing. The Duckhorn network is funny but meant to be an example how they could do what Texas did and create a similar deal for revenue only with Amazon or one of the other tech companies rather than ESPN.
Anything to help narrow the financial gap is on the table at this point for those not in the power 2.

And USC UCLA are are going to get obscene amounts of money to build them selves back. Uncle Phyllis @OregonDucks won’t live forever just ask Okie St. how things change.
Doesn't necessarily mean they will. Maryland and Rutgers have also been getting obscene amounts of B1G money for several years. How's their build back going? And Texas has spent champagne amounts of money for Boone's Farm results. Same with Aggie when you get down to it.

@WhosYourDawggy gets on my case about me pointing out that the big 2 conferences consist of several charter members that don't "carry" their load and haven't really turned their obscene amounts of money into winning athletic programs. They've been getting Ohio State and Bama level money and with results less than many G5 schools have gotten for a lot less investment.

Remember the Useless Eaters of the Third Reich? I guess the big dogs in the B1G and the SEC are more humanitarian and benevolent than the Third Reich. They don't mind feeding Useless Eaters.

Why is Big 12 not going after Oregon?
I'm guessing they know those would bolt as soon as the B1G offers. They seem to be betting the B1G wouldn't invite the other four....because those four would also bolt at the drop of a hat.

Only way for the PAC, ACC or Big 12 to close the financial gap is to get the Saudi's to fund them like they are the new LIV golf tour.

They ain’t gonna catch em no , but they may be able to get close enough to stay competitive (along with Nike backing) to be ok til they can get an invite to one of the big boy conferences. Oregon is in a unique situation compared to most of the others on that level.

Hahahahahahahahaha

Fuck it, LETS DO IT!

I think what’s also in question is how high do the B1G and SEC want to go? Is it a hard 20 or is it over? How much over? I don’t think we’ll truly ever know until it’s done but that is a huge variable right now. The PAC 8 should try like hell to steal some of those midwestern B12 schools, get back to 16 and be a viable conference. But if the B1G is going to inevitably take some of those PAC schools those midwestern B12 schools shouldn’t come and it’s not worth the risk IMO. I wish we had a hard number but sadly we won’t until it’s finally done.

When given the option of which PAC team would join USC. UCLA 'WON THE DAY'. Regardless of recent success.
Chip Kelly was the reason UCLA got the invite.

Cracking Up Lol GIF

I can see why Oregon is so desperate to join the B1G, they know once Phil Knight dies, they will go back to irrelevant like have been for almost their entire history.
I mean the B1G will need another Rutgers by then won't they? :noidea:
