for hebert to do what he did, not knowing he was going to play, was epic to me.


he has every single tool to be a future HOFer if it pans out.
 
You gotta feel for him. I’m not a believer of his. But he didn’t know he was starting, had the chiefs, lead the whole damn game, and gets mahomes’d. HeArt breaking

It's an unspoken rule in football.....a starting QB doesn't lose his job to an injury.

Drew Bledsoe being 1 of the few exceptions.....
 
All I know is I was very impressed with how he can throw the ball around. Some of his passes were so damn pretty. He also took a shot from a LB and bounced up. LB didn’

The negatives I saw you expect to see in a true rookies first game in Week 2. He threw that pick when the first down (and then some) was right there.

That bullshit at the goal line was more playcalling to me than anything. Gave him some dumb shit to play with and wondered why a rookie in his first game wilted.

He has the physical chops. If he has the brains he will be something in this league. If he’s just a dope....well....we will find that out soon enough.

I really don’t think so at this point. In which case it would be another chapter in a strange career for Taylor.

But, let’s wait and see if there is a trend of Herbert looking that nice.

Who knows.....I might be tempted into some form of hybrid starting QB with the two of them when Tyrod is healthy. Risky, but could be something.

That would be interesting. I can only imagine that Herbert is working 14 hrs a day this week. I'll be pulling for him.

Me too. I liked the good he displayed. Some of those throws were just beauts. And the truck he put on that LB....very nice.

He very well could be BUT I always like to wait until after that second year in the league. After the 1st year defenses adjust and it seems to really show how good they could be...sometimes we don't know till the 3rd year or they aren't what we thought they were.

Murray and Baker had great rookie years and both seemed to regress the 2nd year. The numbers don't say Murray regressed but he is using his legs a lot more and hasn't looked as sharp at times. Baker seems to be finally taking the next step in his 3rd year.

I think Herbert has all the talent in the world, lets see how he plays when defenses adjust to him in year 2.

Calling anyone elite before their rookie contracts up is kinda silly.
Now predicting they are going to be elite. Okay. That could be a conversation.
