GAME Kansas State @ Oklahoma, 7:00pm CDT, Fox

KState has beaten OU now what 3 out of the last 4? Sure have our number.

Oklahoma State is still sitting out there as well. I guess they are the best team in Big12 right now. I think I had them and Baylor competing for Big12. I never bought into Oklahoma preseason but after their 3-0 start, I started to buy the hype.

No way a program goes through what they do and come out with first year coach and be a playoff contender. That is just too much to ask for. Granted, watch OU win out and win the Big12 :dhd:
Who have they beaten? Central Michigan? Az State? Ark-Pine Bluff?

Hell, my Miners might be 3-0 against that line up. Well....maybe not. I'll go back to my corner now.

Play calling on both sides of the ball was abysmal.
It looked like we didn't practice all week, and had zero answers for anything.

I expect more out of this Coaching staff, a lot more.

So Brent
You'll be getting an ass kicking by the fans this week, and rightfully so.

Probably needs to change "fire hoses"...

:pop2::martini:

Yup, and you just know they will finish like 7-5

Funny thing is you guys are still in a great spot if you can win out (although that is probably a tough call for a 1st year coach after the off season).

I think that this is one of those years were we won't see possibly any undefeated teams (Georgia seems to have the best chance).

Georgia, tOSU, Clemson, USC. First two are looking good, the last two don't have much competition. Clemson gets by NCSt and its a cakewalk after that.

True. I think USC will struggle with Oregon and Utah. They are good teams. Clemson schedule is likely soft depending on whether FSU and Syracuse are truly back (both could give Clemson trouble). NC State is ranked high but they haven't played anyone yet so not sure if they are good or not.

Georgia actually has the soft schedule. Sure Kentucky and Tennessee look good (also don't sleep on Florida after the fight they showed Saturday, AR may have turned a corner) but Georgia just has so much more talent than any of these programs right now.

My wife and I looked at each other at halftime and asked "Have we seen this shit before?". Yup. So we turned off the TV and went out to dinner. I have never seen OU look so slow on defense. Ugwoegbu (SR LB) is pathetic and Martinez made him look snail slow. The whole defense looked bad as usual to be honest. And that O line is a joke. Bill Bedenbaugh (O Line Coach) tells us every year "The line looks extremely strong right now" before the season starts. Fuck him. Everybody seems to love the guy but I'd fire him since every year we have too many O line stupid mistakes that keep killing us. And Dillon Gabriel is fool's gold. He over throws his receivers at least a half dozen times/game costing OU first downs and touchdowns. A lot of those passes are not even close! Oklahoma is so not ready for the SEC it is comical. I wish Brent Venables the very best but he's GOT to upgrade his staff and the talent level or we'll be another version of Missouri hanging out with the big boys in a couple of years.

Not impressed at all.
How much of that is everyone else around him, I'm not sure.

But there's no excuse for overthrowing wide open receivers when you have 6000 yards under your belt

They sure didn’t look like the team that pounded The Nebraska School of Ballet last week.

I stopped listening to coaches (or media) talking about how good the lines look in fall camp long ago.

How would anyone know when they're practicing against their own team?

If the O-line's looking great, maybe the D-line sucks.

The last time OU lost to KState, OU won the Big 12. Lots of football to play.

Our schedule sets up really well. We are 4-0, and have @Mizzou (means we miss the weather that Ian is going to throw off), Auburn, Vandy then a bye. Then we have UF in Jax, UTjr, @MSU, @Ky. Those 4 games will decide our season. Go 4-0 and we will head into Atlanta 12-0 and then the CFP most likely. If we lose, it will be one of those 4 games. We have 4 weeks to get our D some more experience.
