GAME Kentucky @ Georgia, 3:30 eastern, CBS

Kentucky's a good football team, but they're clearly nowhere near Georgia's level.

Played like shit, still won. Kentucky's offense is annoying. Not gonna beat you, but they'll dink and dunk their way down the field. I like that Mark Stoops called the timeout to get one more play, I wish Kirby was that petty. I know he was trying to become the team that put the most points on UGA this year, but with the blocked PAT, they merely tied South Carolina.

Pissed that our record streak of made PATs came to an end.

Did not play like shit. I don’t think you even watched the game it was never in doubt.

Burned by screen plays up and down the field on multiple drives and Bennett missed numerous throws. You can play like shit and still easily win. Stop the God damn nitpicking. It’s fucking pathetic

But we didn't play like shit. I am serious, watch the games going forward. What is pathetic is that you just spout shit out that makes no sense and you have nothing to back it up other than some odd need you have to self-flagellate. Next time you want to have a gun fight over my Dawgs, don't bring nail clippers.

Let's start with Stetson:

SPLITSCMPATTCMP%YDSAVGTDINTLNGRTG
This Game142070.025012.53027224.5

So, that's pretty much the opposite of playing like shit.

For comparison - RTG:
Corral - 118.4
Bryce Young - 223
Caleb Williams (OU) - 243

So basically, he had the best QB rating in the SEC on Saturday, and I believe second best in the nation. But, no, you say he played like shit. See, one of those has to be wrong. Are you are saying the objective numbers are wrong, or do you just love to attack your own team for some unknown reason?

Yeah, but you'll say something like we only scored 30 points. Well, we had 9 possessions and scored on 5 of those. We had 4 total possessions in the second half and scored on 3 of them.

We averaged 6.1 yards per run, 12.1 yards per pass. Does an of that sound like shit to you?

Let's move on to the screen plays up and down the field:

We held Kentucky to 2 TDs, and we blocked a field goal and an extra point.

They came into the game with the SEC's leading rusher and receiver.
- Their leading rusher had 7 carries of 7 yards ... that's right, we held the SEC's leading rusher to 1 yard per carry. He was averaging 129 yards per game ... got 7.
- The leading receiver didn't do much better ... he had 39 yards on 12 catches ... that's right, we held the SEC's leading receiver to 3.3 yards per catch (he was averaging 14.2 yards per catch).

As for screen plays up and down the field, they averaged 4.6 yards per catch, and were held to well under their per game and per catch average. Those screen plays gave up 2 TDs, one of which was after a humorous 22 play, 75 yard, 11:23, 4th quarter drive. I want you to think about that for a minute. When you are up 30-7 and the other team goes on a 22 play, 11:23, drive to basically ice the game, what do you do? You say, fuck yeah, thanks. Have at it. Spurrier did that in his last game against us when we clubbed him like a baby seal. Mullen did it a few years ago. Basically the other team is saying we are glad to end this now and not let you get the ball back 2 or 3 more times and run the score up on us. When this happens, the D stops being as aggressive by design, and runs a D to keep everything in front of them to keep from having a quick score. We were obviously trying to stop them, so kudos to Ky for the drive, but we weren't going to let them score quickly and were more than happy to let them run out the clock.

This is neither nit picking, nor pathetic. What's pathetic is that you coming on here and feeling that to be cool, or to be liked, or to seem objective perhaps, you have to attack your own team. That's pathetic, especially when you are almost always wrong with what you say, as exposed above.

You just wrote a novel because I have you so fucking mind fucked it’s hilarious.

I watched the game, that’s why I don’t need numbers. Stetson missed open receivers early in the game, and Kentucky was having success moving the ball with screens. We were far from playing our best game. The game was never in question because of an insurmountable talent advantage, that doesn’t mean we played great.

The screens are concerning because that’s a staple of Dan Mullen’s offense and Florida has better athletes than Kentucky. It’s something to work on, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

You can stop the "mind fucked" schtick. We are on a sports board, and people on sports boards engage in back and forth about what is posted. You keep repeating that because you can't ever point out where I am wrong when I refute your points ... you think you can distract me and others from the fact you are so often wrong. You posted something stupid, I used stats that you can't refute to counter your stupidity. That's how it works. That I consistently refute your ramblings with facts does not mean you have me "mind fucked" ... just that I disagree with your incoherent ramblings about my team and I enjoy pointing out how wrong you are, to wit:

- LOL at you watched the game and don't need numbers. The numbers 100% refute what you watched. When you say a QB played like shit and missed passes early, yet had a 70% completion percentage, and the best QB rating in the SEC for the day, no. 2 in the nation, then what you think you watched is just wrong. In other words what actually happened is not what you saw with your biased (against your own team which makes no sense) eyes.

- Yes, they hit some screens ... that's how teams will try and get at the no. 1 D in the land that is aggressive. That's not a surprise to anyone. Yet, with all those screens they scored one TD in the first 3 Qs, and then burned the clock in the 4th for a final second TD. And with all those screens, the leadings rusher and receiver in the SEC didn't do a damn thing and the game was never in doubt.

I hope UF throws screens all day long, because the same thing will happen. They will score a couple TDs and we will beat them 34-10 or something like that.

As a follow-up to you pointing out that Stet started slow:

He completed 5 of 10 throws for 76 yards in the first half, for 2 TDs. In the second half he completed 9 of 10 passes for 174 yards for 3 scores on 4 possessions.

In his post-game interview, he said - “It was a little bit slow. There are no magic words. We just started executing better at every position. We hit some shots, we started running the ball a little bit better—but other than that, I’m not really sure what happened, we just got a little bit better.”

I said Bennett missed some throws, he did. Like all of his other games this year, he was fine, but Daniels is the better option when healthy.

Kentucky had 3 long, time consuming drives. That needs to be cleaned up along with our punt fielding.

You can sit there and act like we played a perfect game all you want, but it just makes you look stupid and pathetic, and getting caught up in your feels and writing a million word essay doesn't change that. You literally read the first line and didn't read the rest of the post.

See, I never said we played a perfect game. And, I agree that things can be cleaned up ... that's always true. I read your entire post ... here it is ... where is the positive that I missed:

"Played like shit, still won. Kentucky's offense is annoying. Not gonna beat you, but they'll dink and dunk their way down the field. The funny thing is that you are the one that gets caught up in your "feels" ... I just point out facts. Then you complain that I write novels when am simply a detailed, data guy who types fast and has the time to respond to your posts. I am hardly one to say UGA is perfect. I would love a good discussion of how we can improve. But not when you say things that just aren't remotely true.

I speak in hyperbole. Ask anyone on the Braves board.

I never said Bennett was terrible, I said he missed some throws. And I think the defense could have been a little better on those screen plays.

Anything less than a 50+-0 shutout, I'm gonna say we played like shit.

The best thing we can do to improve is get healthy. I'm confident in our linebackers in coverage and tackling in the open field. We're thin in the secondary, and that's just something we're gonna have to deal with. I'm far more worried about the offense. I just wanna see what we can do with JT Daniels at QB with a full compliment of receivers. Can't complain about AD Mitchell and Ladd McConkey, and Brock Bowers is the best TE I've ever seen at UGA, but I think the offense can really shine with a healthy Burton, Rosemy-Jacksaint, Smith, Jackson, Pickens and Blaylock(I've given up on Gilbert seeing the field this year, and we don't really need him)

But, don't come at me with a novel if the post is more than 24 hours old. It's Joctober until Jacksonville.
