if Sarr wanted to lose to GT, he should have stayed @ Wake

Dickie V did a great disservice to college basketball when he openly campaigned for Sarr to leave Wake for Kentucky.

Yeah, little bit of karma coming UK's way. Which I'm fine with.

Also, if this Boston kid was the 5th best player in high school this FR class isn't special. Although he could just be overrated.

on that topic

the class in 2021 is going to be crazy, because i feel like there's a strong chance that the late bloomers aren't going to be properly evaluated. you're probably going to see a lot of overrated kids in the top 50 and a lot of good prospects outside of the top 100

Yeah, I tend to agree with that. This is the least amount of high school basketball I've seen in my lifetime. I did see Holmgren play and he certainly looks like the real deal. It will be interesting to see those kids 50-150 and what they do at this level. The Gophers have a couple committed in the 100's so hopefully they play above thier ranking.
 
Makes me wonder how good Kansas really is after getting ran by the Zags and struggling vs scrubs the Jayhawks only saving grace had been their "big win" over UK

Any of these teams with a bunch of Freshmen seem to take a while to play together. GaTech has some upperclassmen playing which can draw upon their experience to beat down a young group like Kentucky. Kentucky will be a much different type of club by season's end.

They sometimes do, but never like this. But they also typically have alot more talent than this UK team does. And just to contextualize things, they didn't get their 3rd loss in the season until their 11th game last year. The year before it was their 13th game. 2018 team it was their 15th game. Cal's worst team at UK was the 2013 team and they lost their 4th game in game 7. Hell at this rate UK might be 1-6 if not for the make up game against Detroit.

After watching Detroit vs MSU and seeing how close they played ND im not sure UK can put that in the W column either
 
the problem with Kentucky is that their starting C is soft + is a traitor

if they release Sarr from his scholarship, UK immediately becomes a final four contender

i worked this morning, so i didn't watch it

Sarr had a pretty stat line, tbh

but good god, this Kentucky team sucks. it's time to stop pretending that this is just a case of another UK slow start. It isn't, they just aren't good

Yeah Sarr did have a good game. Really the only reason UK had a shot.

Yeah I watched almost the whole game. UK isn't good. Sarr is probably their best player right now. Guys have higher ceilings than him but they aren't there yet. Sarr is a good, productive college player, but if he's your best player, you likely won't have a good record.
